After all the crazy-ness ended they still couldn't figure out what it was. They were stuck at a dead end and Dustin being locked in the bathroom was no help either. But before they know it a horn sounded from outside. Mike turned to look at the clock, 9:00, crap he thought. Eleven started to put on her shoes. There the same ones mike had given her over a year and a half ago. After getting mikes sweatshirt on she headed for the door and reached for the handle but before she opened the door, she ran back and kissed mike on the cheek, interlocking their fingers then said
"Bye mike" both admittedly blushed, she pulled her fingers away but then el ran to hoppers car. The only people still in mikes house were mike, Lucas, will, kali and Dustin who is still locked in the bathroom. But one by one each person was picked up or left to make there individual curfews until it was just kali and mike.
" hey if you need somewhere to stay.." mike asked pointing to the basement
"If you wouldn't mind.." Kali says sheepishly
"It's no problem I still have the fort up from when eleven used to live here" mike says matter o factly and begins to lead her to the basement. Kali was already looking around before she reached the last step.
"Thank you, so much" kali quickly turned to him and thanked him.
"Seriously it's no problem you don't have to thank me anything for el's family" mikes cheeks turned a light shade of pink as he smiled. She also smiled and giggled at his awkwardness. She studied his face, he was was a cute kid. She turned and walked toward the fort that had so many memories, and mike thought about how far she came. She now speaks more fluently and the nightmares came only ever so often. But the best thing is her powers got stronger and as her 15 year old body grew her powers adapted and grew with it. She began to get herself situated and he started to head up the stairs when she says
"Mike?"
"Yeah?" Mike questioned
"Goodnight" Kali said sleepy
"G'Night kali" he turned off the light and disappeared up the stairs and shut the door. Kali turned over and stared at the door, hoping everything will be ok.
*3rd person in hoppers car while simultaneously ^ that is happening at mikes*
"Hey kid you have fun?" Hopper asked as she buckled her seatbelt.
"Yep!" Eleven said enthusiastically. She could still feel mikes hand on hers.
"Your blushing" Hopper says with a stern voice and rubs her head. Though not extremely happy with eleven being in a relationship he understood that it was already out of his hands and that teenage hormones are too hard to control.
"Sorry.." el says sheepishly and she turns his head away from him so he won't make anymore comments. She played with the gold heart locket mike gave her not long ago as she looked out the car window. It has a picture of the two of them at the snowball when their relationship blossomed. She studied the picture carefully and rubbed her finger over his face.Eventually she started to drift off and not long later it was time for her to wake up. She opens the door and heads to her room . She jumped on her bed and replayed the days moments in her head. More confused than ever she twirled the necklace in her fingers until she fell asleep. When hopper came into say good night he saw eleven out cold.
"Good night sweetie." He whispered and shut off her light then closed her door quietly.
