Chapter 10: did that really happen?

Jacob's POV:

well tomorrows new years and I came back from a two week visit from Tennessee. Kelsey tested my patience the entire time and she brought up everyday that I don't pay attention to her anymore. She claimed I didn't care about her life or be there for her. It was bullshit! I was there for everything, I was there when her brother committed suicide, there for her mothers hospitalization, her father leaving their family..everything!

Before leaving to go back to California I did something that a few months ago I would have regretted. I broke up with Kelsey and although it hurt her it was for the better. I wouldn't been seeing her much anymore since I moved to California and I don't have time to call, skype and text her much. This may sound bad but I also broke things off because I wanted to be with Aria. 

Tomorrow night Shawn insisted I come with him to perform on Rockin' New Years Eve, a few weeks ago Shawn and I released a song together. It was insane he asked me to come because I never expect i would be on national tv and it was live.

Aria's POV: 

Tomorrows New years and I get to see jacob after a long two weeks. He's taking me with him to Rockin' New Years Eve and I'm definitely excited to go because I love New York and I get to see her perform of course.I snapped out of my thoughts wen the doorbell rang downstairs and I thought Jacob was here already.

"Um??" I said confused upon opening the door. "Don't act confused sweetie I'm here to see you. It's your fault why he broke up with me and you ruined something special. Just know he'll never love you half as much as he loved me" Kelsey said and shoved me while walking away. I was very shocked and surprised she came here just to say those things to me. I'm a terrible person..I ruined their relationship and I'm just a big slutty homewrecker. I began to tear up a little I can't believe how horrible I am.

A few minutes later Jacob walked into my house and I jumped when the door opened. His eyes went wide and he didn't smile at me. "What's wrong?" he asked. "Nothing" I said lying to him and I turned away from him. "Aria?" He shouted at me. I turned away I couldn't be bother to look at him. He sat on the couch next to me and I had my arms crossed not looking at him. "Kelsey came here before you did. She said I ruined your relationship" I explained. 

Jacob grabbed my hands "Its not your fault we broke up because of long distance and lack of communication" He said looking me into my eyes."Are you being truthful?" I asked. "Of course why would i lie?" he said and he took my hands again "I promise

*Next night*

Jacob's POV:

I cant believe Kelsey had the audacity to show up at Aria's to say something like that to her and shove her. It made me rethink about how I made the right decision to break up with her. Now I was in NYC and we just got here about two hours ago. I was performing in about 10 minutes and I was a nervous wreck, Shawn and I would sing our song and just in time to do the live countdown.

Aria's Pov:

11:59 a minute until midnight and I stood in the far corner of the stage where Jacob had just performed. The countdown starts right now together. They performed amazingly and everyone seemed to love it. Now people in the crowd were finding their boyfriend/girlfriend and we're about to kiss them into the new years. It was now less than 30 seconds until the ball was about to drop. Jacob pulled me on stage with him and it was live and I was so nervous. He smiled and he grabbed my waist. He was gonna kiss me on live tv. HE WAS GONNNA KISS ME. I heard Shawn shout "FOUR, THREE, TWO, ONE, HAPPY NEW YEAR"

Everyone was yelling and shouting around us. Jacob kissed me passionately for a whole minute. He let go and then he hugged me and he stared back in my eyes and kissed me again. I smiled super hard. "wow" ON FUCKING NATIONAL TV WHAT THE FUCK
