On October 30, 2012, Mary Smith was being put into an asylum. Mary was only 8-years-old. On that same day the news was spreading with rumors saying that Sophia Rodriguez was put into the same exact asylum. But she wasn't. Sophia's twin brother, Alex, was worried sick. Alex was only 8, but still knew what was going on. Her parents were also worried. Sophia wasn't in an asylum, she was at her tumbling practice. Sophia usually gets picked up by one of her parents. Her mom was supposed to pick her up, but she thought she was in an asylum. Sophia was sitting there for about 3 hours waiting on her mom. She thought something happened to her mom. Her coach was leaving and noticed her.
" You're usually the first person to get picked up. Where's your parents?" her coach asked.
" I don't know. They didn't picked me up," replied Sophia.
Sophia used her coach's phone to call her mom.
" Hello, I'm Sorry, I can't talk right now. MY DAUGHTER'S IN AN ASYLUM!" Sophia's mom was extremely worried.
" Mom? I'm not in an asylum. I just got out of tumbling practice, like 3 hours ago," Sophia said, sounding very concerned.
There was a moment of silence.
" Sophia?" her mom asked.
" Yes," Sophia replied.
" Are you at tumbling practice?! Why didn't you call earlier?!" her mom asked.
" Yes, I am at tumbling practice. Well it ended hours ago. And I couldn't call you earlier because I don't have a phone, Sophia said.
" Just sit still, I'm on my way."
" Okay, Bye."
" Bye."
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
The phone hung up.
" Is she coming?" asked Sophia's coach.
" Yes," said Sophia.
Her mom got there about 10 minutes later. Sophia got in the car, and the whole way home her mom was talking about how worried she was. Sophia wasn't paying any attention.
