Ant and Dec were in Australia for the latest season of I'm a celebrity. Due to the fact that the show was on early in the morning and they had to get up at 3:30am, both lads went to bed around 6 pm.

Dec woke up around 9 pm, as his bladder was demanding to be emptied. He yawned and sleepily rubbed at his eyes before stumbling out of his room and to the bathroom across the hallway. He had a quick wee, already longing to be back in his bed as he switched off the lights in the bathroom.

On his way back to his room, something caught his eye. The door to Ant's room was slightly open and he could see the warm glow coming from inside the room. He hadn't even noticed it the first time around.

A little more awake and quite curious, even a bit worried he tiptoed over and stuck his head around the door.

The lamp on the bedside table  was on, casting a warm glow over the room. On the edge of the bed sat Ant, elbows resting on his knees and his face buried in his hands.

Dec watched him a few seconds, feeling increasingly more concerned for his best friend. Soon he couldn't stand it anymore and he quietly stepped into the room.

It wasn't until he sat down on the bed beside him that Ant noticed him. He almost jumped out of his skin as Dec wrapped his arm around his waist.

"Shh, it's only me" Dec whispered. "Sorry for scaring ye, I should have announced myself"

"It's fine" Ant replied, turning to look at him.

Dec was relieved to see that no tears were staining his friends face. He just looked very tired.

"Why are ye up so late?" Ant asked him.

Dec laughed softly. "I came to ask you the same question. I needed a wee, that's all. What about you?" he asked, looking expectantly at his best friend.

Ant shrugged, looking down. "Can't sleep" he mumbled. "I'm so tired, but I just can't settle  down"

Dec looked at him sadly, letting his hand move over his back in what he hoped was a comforting gesture. He could tell that Ant was absolutely exhausted and tired. The thought of not being able to sleep even though you're so tired made him sympathise with him even more. He desperately wanted to help him.

For a minute or two they just sat there in silence, Dec stroking his back absentmindedly.

It was then that he realised that Ant seemed to be relaxing under his touch and an idea popped into his head.

"Lay down on your tummy, I'll be back in a second, okay?"

Ant looked at him confused.

"Just do it, trust me" Dec smiled and gave him a gentle push.

Ant shrugged and complied, sighing as his tired head hit the pillow.

True to his word, Dec returned within the minute with a bottle of body lotion.

"Gonna help you relax a little" he smiled and without hesitation climbed on top of him, sitting down on Ant's bum, his legs straddling his waist.

"Lucky nobody can see us right now" Ant laughed softly. "This is quite a compromising position"

"Shut up" Dec gave him a light slap, but he laughing as well.

He then got to work on Ant's shirt, pulling it up to his shoulders, effectively freeing most of his back. Getting the body lotion he poured a good amount on his skin, before getting to work.

Ant closed his eyes as his friends warm hands moved with ease over his back, spreading the lotion all over his back and neck.

And even though they were only best friends, the intimacy of the situation was anything but uncomfortable. They've known each other for so long and the trust they shared between them couldn't be much bigger, so it was anything but weird for them.
