Chapter 7

The morning was literal torture for Jäger, he hardly got any sleep. Any moment he was about to fall asleep, something would happen. Something like some soldiers being noisy; sometimes there was banging on doors, doors being slammed.

Once the time was around 8 o'clock, he carefully got out of the sleeping bag trying not to wake up Monika. He stood up and went to his bags, getting his usual wash bag out of one. He quietly slipped through the door and out the room, he tiredly walked towards the showers. 'Fuck' he thought 'I forgot spare clothes...' he jogged back to the room and realised Elias was up as well
"Morning..." Elias whispered, stretching his arms
"Morning," Marius quietly said back, stealthily grabbing a clean set of clothes for the day. He went back to the showers and did his daily business. When Marius was walking down the hallway back to the room, Elias was going to the showers. "Is there anyone else up?"
"Yeah... Dom and Mon are up" Elias smiled a little,
"Ok, thanks"
"No problem," Elias went to the showers and Marius walked to the room. He entered silently just in case they hadn't gotten up properly. Monika was sitting up in her bed and Dominic was sorting something out in one of his bags.

"You two ready?" The Air Marshall asked, both of them jumped and looked at him,
"Well... no, we need to get dressed first Dummkopf"
"No shit, I thought we were just going to go in our pajamas and underwear" Jäger said sarcastically, sitting down next to Monika. Dom shook his head, saying something under his breath. Marius decided to ignore that.
"Liebling... I'm not awake enough to do anything right now..." she leaned to the side and put her head on his lap, closing her eyes.
"I'll make you some coffee once you've gotten dressed,"
"Thank you..." Monika smiled and cuddled into him
"Come on, you need to get ready or we'll miss the flight"
"Yeah, Yeah... alright Dad." She groaned and sat up. Marius chuckled, looking at the girl. Dominic left the room. Monika sighed heavily. "I'm gonna go for a shower. Meet you in the cafeteria?"
"Sure," The Air Marshall smiled and stood up, grabbing his phone, wallet and apartment keys.

Monika left with her wash bag and Marius waited for Elias to return, shortly enough (and thankfully) he did. Streicher left the room and set his way to the cafeteria. It was a Sunday morning so almost everyone would be sleeping in. The cafeteria only had a cleaner in and two officers sitting near the front of the hall. Marius went to the table and did his bi-daily tasks, he made a coffee for Monika and himself. He chose to sit at a random table, putting down the cups and sighing, looking around.

A few minutes later, Monika rushed into the cafeteria and quickly sat down opposite Marius.
"You ok?"
"Yeah, sorry I took so long!"
"No, no. It's fine. Don't worry about it."
"You sure?" She had a sad look on her face
"Of course," Marius smiled at her, causing her to smile a bit as well. She grabbed the coffee and it seemed just the right temperature to drink.
"Thank you again, Liebling,"
"No problem" he had almost finished his coffee.
"Have you got everything packed and ready to go?" She took a sip of her coffee
"Yeah, we're leaving quite soon actually."
"How soon is soon?"
"About... 20 minutes?"
"Geez... feel weird leaving this place wouldn't it?" Monika sighed
"Yeah... it would" Marius nodded.
"Well... I hope the other groups are nice..."
"So do I..."

-skip to the airport in England-

Dominic was the last one to awaken, Elias and Monika were talking and Marius was reading a book. Dom looked around. He slept so heavily that he didn't even feel the plane land. He unbuckled he seatbelt and stood up, grabbing his two large bags. Marius put down his book and stood up with him.
"You alright?" Dom asked his friend
"Yeah, shall we go?" Marius put the book in one of his bags and put one over his shoulder.
"That's the plan..." Dom walked down the narrow isle and walked to the already open door. "Hey, Elias! Mon! Let's go!" He called out to them. They nodded and grabbed their bags. Quickly they caught up and all four of them left the jet. It was still dark, Bandit checked his watch then cursed to himself. 'I forgot it'd be a different time zone...' he thought to himself, tutting.
"One hour behind right?" He asked Elias. He nodded at him. "Danke" he changed his watch to one hour behind the German time zone.
