The night was starting to dawn in. It had been a long day for Lavina. All those futile interviews made her neck stiff.

Only a block, she convinced herself. She had been avoiding public transportations to save money. Each and every penny counts, her mother would always say. Her stomach plummeted as she neared the great mansion. She had skipped lunch only surviving with orange juice for the entire time.

She heard muffled voices when she entered the house.

Uh-oh, Dalton was here. He had been here for the past week, especially at night time. She walked in as quietly as possible. She did not want to have an encounter with him. Not right now.

"Lavina?" April's voice froze her mid-stairs.

"Lavina!" April exclaimed and came out of the kitchen. "I thought I heard someone come."

"Hey," Lavina forced a smile but obviously failed.

"Dalton brought donuts," April said offering her the box she was holding.

"No, thanks," Lavina replied. As much as she'd die to eat even one donut, she couldn't. It was the devil who brought it.

"What's going on?" Dalton too appeared, fixing his gaze on Lavina.

"Come on. Just one? It's brought with love and care," April made a puppy dog face that she knew Lavina wouldn't be able to resist.

"Leave it," Dalton spoke, "if she doesn't want it, who cares."

"Dalton!" April hushed and looked at Lavina again.

"No... Thanks for the offer though."

April sighed and Lavina trudged upstairs. She was hungry. Her stomach was literally growling.

She took a warm shower but unfortunately that didn't cease her hunger. After a while she decided to go downstairs and find some food. She could hear television noises which meant they were both not in the kitchen.

She slowly crept downstairs in her pink pj's. The smell of donuts instantly made her drool. Maybe they had a donut left.

She turned on the kitchen light and examined the fridge. There were some donuts left. She took two out and heated them in the oven. Then she took out a box of fruit juice and poured some in a glass. She was all set.

On her way, she couldn't resist the urge to check on April and The Devil.

She tip-toed to the living room stopping and watching the couple intently.

They were on a heavy make-out session with him shirtless.

Ew.

All of a sudden April noticed her.

"Lavina?"

Oops. She ambled her eyes looking for an excuse. She was like a deer caught in the headlights.

"I-um, I was looking for you..."

"That's fine," April smiled sweetly. "Come on over."

Lavina was surprised, if it had been her she would have been embarrassed as hell. But of course she wouldn't be doing those stuff in the first place.

Lavina sat in the couch. "I shouldn't..." she began but April cut her off.

"We were debating on what movie to watch."

Lavina was quite sure that's not what they were doing but decided to stay quiet.

"Have any idea?" April asked.
