Mia's POV
Oh great. I don't hide my cuts because there's no point, people would know anyway, but I hated it when people brought attention to it. The 3 boys just stared at my arms.
"Oh my god! Yes, I cut!" I shouted. I picked up my jacket from the ground and started walking away, but someone grabbed my arm. I turned to see Cameron.
"Please stay. We just didn't know how to react. We're guys, we're stupid. Forgive us?" I guess I had to. They're my only friends, if I can even call them that. I sighed and walked back to Carter and Nash who were standing there, looking down at their feet.
"Let's go get ice-cream, shall we?" I suggested and they nodded happily. We all started running to a small shop on the corner that sold ice-cream. I got chocolate ice-cream, as usual. As we walked back to my house, my phone started buzzing. It was a text from Kennedy.
From: Kennedy
Sorry about earlier, I can come round later and explain everything.
To: Kennedy
Yeah sure, around 8
I shoved my phone back into my pocket and kept on walking.
"Who was that?" Cameron asked.
"A friend." I said and Carter groaned.
"If it was Kennedy then I am out." He said.
"Yeah, it was Kennedy, so what?"
"I'm telling you, she is trouble." He said, almost pleading me with his eyes.
"I think I can work that out on my own Carter. I've barely known you a day and you want to control who I do and don't hang out with. You're not my brother, calm down." I said and Cameron and Nash laughed. Carter's face went red.
"Well, don't say I didn't warn you." He said finally and I scoffed.
"I won't have to." I said and walked into my house, slamming the door behind me. My grandma, who was sitting on the couch, jumped as the door slammed.
"You okay Mia?" She asked, her voice full of concern.
"I'm fine Mima, thank you." I said, and just as I did, Carter walked in and sat down next to my grandma. I rolled my eyes and went upstairs to my room. I flopped down on my bed and went on Twitter on my phone. Minutes later, there was a knock at the door.
"Come in!" I shouted, completely forgetting that Carter was still here. He walked in and sat down next to me.
"Oh god, why are you still here?" I asked rudely.
"My mom is still here and she won't let me leave." He stated, leaning back and making himself comfortable.
"Do you mind?"
"No, I babysit." He retorted.
"Oh, I haven't heard that one before, smart ass." I said in a monotone voice.
"Look, I'm sorry for trying to keep you away from Kennedy, I just really don't like her." He said.
"It'll be my own fault if she ends up being a bitch to me, just let me find out by myself."
"Okay fine. Just don't come crying to me when she is a bitch to you." He said simply.
"Why would I come crying to you?"
"Oh I don't know, maybe because I'm your only friend?" He said and I scoffed.
"Please, we wouldn't have ever been friends if my grandma didn't know your mom."
