∞Little Red∞ [Ouran High School Host Club]

• Summary : Training to be a Olympic Trackrunner is no easy task, but going to Ouran 'was' an impossible task. But let's prove them wrong, ne? •

[Prologue]

I crouched in the middle of the night on the track field awaiting for my best friend, Kenshin to give me the signal.

His mouth was near the whistle.

Right after he whistled, I took off running on the track. 'Good thing there was light posts at this school.' I thought. I rounded the corner. I looked at Kenshin at the corner of my eyes, as he also had met mine. He nodded and held a thumbs up.

I nodded slightly, and sped up at the finish line. His thumb pressed the stop button and he gave me a small smile and showed me the stop watch. I sighed. "I'm getting slow.." I mumbled unhappily. He shrugged. "Probably because you're tired, it is night, you know?" I scratched my head slightly, brushing some hair out of my sight. "But 1 minute and 6 seconds? That's really slow.." I grumbled. He shrugged again. "It is night you know?" He repeated.

I nodded and sighed and held out my fist. "See you at school?"

He grinned. And bumped my fist. "Yea see you at school, Hisoka."

And we parted ways towards our homes.

I yawned quietly and then started to sprint, my red hair flying behind me. My hair wasn't long but it wasn't short. My red hair was just a little above my shoulders and I held my bangs up with a black band. [If you watched Fairytail Before, think of Mirajane's hairstyle]

Me and Kenshin goes to the same school, we always did. We go to Izabaji Academy. A public school, so we could wear anything we wanted as long as it fits the dress code.

I finally arrived at my apartment and knocked on the door. 'I can't believe I forgot to bring the apartment key...' "I'm coming!!!" I heard him yell. *Shriek*Bump*Bump*Bump*Thud*

Then he finally opened the door. He grinned. "Hey onē-san!" He greeted. I looked at him with a blank expression then sighed ruffling his hair. "Fell down the stairs again?" I asked. He nodded. I sighed again. "Clumsy." I scolded. "Shouldn't you be sleeping?" I questioned. "..Um I had stuff to do...." I sighed again. "Come on get to sleep." I said pushing him slightly up the stairs. He sat down. "Carry me up." He said stubbornly. My eye twitched slightly, but I squatted down to his height and showed him my back. "Get on then squirt." I smirked. He smiled. "Of course!" And he hopped on. I started to walk up the stairs and finally laid him in his bed. I smiled softly and ruffled his hair again. "Am I seriously gonna do this every night?" I questioned. He grinned.

"Of course, onē-san!"

I turned on his lamp and turned off the lights. "Night, Arata."

He nodded. "Night, onē-san.."

I closed the door silently, and walked down the stairs again, making Arata's and mine's lunch. After that was finished I placed them in the fridge and finally checked the mail. I moved my hair out of my eyes and placed them on my ears. Signing the papers, and going on and on. The hair fell again and I sighed again. 'I should get some sleep..' I thought. And finally I dragged myself to the couch and plopped on the soft cushions.

Then darkness consumed me.

I felt something shove me slightly and a quiet wining voice. I opened my eyes slightly to see Arata's brown eyes. I sat up. "What time is it?" I asked.

"Come on it's 7:25!" He said hurriedly. I nodded. "Make some cereal over there Arata, I'll be ready soon."

He nodded. I ran over to my room quickly. And I opened my small closet and took my mid-thigh white shorts and put on my dark grey loose shirt with 4 finger length sleeves and finally put on my gray sneakers. I grabbed my black backpack and wore only one strap on my shoulders.

"You finished eating, Arata?" I asked as I walked into our small kitchen. He placed his bowl in the sink. "Yea I'm done onē-san." He said as he finished cleaning his bowl. I nodded. "Come on then.." I said as I opened the front door. He walked out of the door, standing there waiting for me to finish locking the door.

I placed the key back into my bag and nodded to him. "Let's go."

As we were walking down the familiar street, I stopped suddenly and looked up at the large school. Arata noticed and also looked at the school. He winced. "It's pink.." He groaned. I nodded slightly agreeing with him. Then I remembered what I read on the mail last night. My mouth was slightly open, as I remembered what I had read. I turned my back to the school. "Come Arata." I walked towards our school. He nodded and started to follow me. I looked at him slightly with the corner of my eyes. He had the same eyes as me. A brown with a slight red tint. But that was all the resemblance we shared. He had brown hair while I had red hair. He was in Elementary while I was in High School.

He ran up to the front and turned around with a large grin. "See you later onē-san!" And he ran towards his school entrance. I waved slightly and continued towards my school.

I was really early because our school started 1 hour later than Arata's. and since he usually arrives 30 minutes early, I get 1 hour and 30 minutes of running track. That was a good thing. I scanned the school grounds and it was empty as usually. I walked in the school doors and headed down towards my lockers, and placed my bag in there and finally I walked out on to the same track course from last night and went into the same familiar position, and I took off running. After 8 laps I took a short break and opened my water bottle pouring it into my mouth. I heard footsteps behind me, with a slight turn of my head, I saw the familar brown tuff of hair. I patted the seat next to mine. "Come sit, Kenshin.." He quietly walked around the bench, layed down his backpack on the ground and finally sat next to me, his elbow on my shoulder. He sighed. "You're here early again, Hisoka.." He deadpanned. I looked at him blankly. "Of course, it is only normal for me to get here early.. And you are early also.." I objected. He stared at me and sighed again. "You know everyone has a limit you know.." He said quietly. I looked at him slightly confused. "I won't take it to far.. Promise.."

He smile. "You better." Then he laid his head on my legs, closing his eyes.

Then I remembered about last night and the mail I had recieved. I opened my mouth slightly then closed them. 'Should I tell him?' I thought uneasily. "Kenshin?"

He opened one of his eyes. "Hmm?" He 'hmmed'.

I took a deep breath. "Kenshin, last night when I was looking in the mail.. I've recieved a letter from Ms. Hokkaido, she sent a... She sent me a Proposition to go to Ouran.."

His eyes widened and his breath stopped. "Seriously?" He breathed. "The public or the private?" He questioned.

"Private.." I said quietly. "It was a Scholarship... Ouran has been taking interest in me, since I am a student of high standards.." I said quickly. He sat up and looked at me. "You don't have to go!" He shouted. I blinked at him surprised, then I suddenly felt angry. "But, Ouran's a hard school to get into! I know I can do good there! I can become closer to becoming and Olympic Track Runner!" I objected. "You're already doing well as it is, Hisoka! Please.. Why do you want to go?" He questioned quietly. I stared at him again in surprise. "You'll still see me everyday.. It'll be fine, I'll be fine.."

He stared at me quietly then he sighed. "Sorry.." He apologized. "It's just going to Ouran? That's a bit far.. But I'm happy for you.." The bell rang. He held out his fist. "See you soon?" He whispered.

I smiled and bumped his fist. "See you soon.."
