My brown hair laid in loose curls down to my mid back; the lady doing my make up almost seemed as if she was about to stab me in the eye with her blending brush. I carefully inched away, trying to not make it noticeable but failed and the lady gave me a death glare.
"Ryan, just sit still or you're never gonna be finished!" Tyler exclaimed from behind me, looking at me through the mirror I was currently sitting in front of.
"Maybe if I didn't feel like I was about to get my eye poked out every time she brought a brush near me, I would." I bluntly stated, a deadpanned expression lingered on my face. Tyler just laughed and brushed off the look I gave her.
I was currently getting ready for the wedding, which is being held for my older sister, Lillie. Who is 24-years old; she is the oldest of us Thompson children and stands at exactly 5 feet 5 inches tall, with beautiful light brown hair, sky blue eyes, and the mind of nerd. Yet, she thought it was a good idea to make me a bridesmaid, even when she knows I can't walk in heels to save my life or anyone else's for that matter.
Then there is Jared, the cutest 8-year old boy you will ever see with his dark brown curly locks and electric blue eyes. Thankfully, my best friend Tyler who also has the beautiful looks with her dark chocolate locks, hazel eyes, and a petite frame at the height of 5 feet 6 inches tall, was a bridesmaid in the wedding.
But, unfortunately I was cursed with my plain brown hair, electric green eyes with blue flakes, which I got from my father, and a petite frame at the height of 5 feet 2 inches tall. Stupid tall people.
You see here, Tyler and I were oh-so-gratefully given boy names due to the fact that our fathers were best friends when our mothers were pregnant with us. They both decided, the next girl they have should be named after a boy because apparently it was the right thing to do. Then our moms magically got pregnant a few months near each other (Tyler is older), and thus we were born.
My sister was getting married to a man that goes by John Phillips, a tall, black haired, brown eyed boy she had met in college. He was a huge sweetheart to her and treated her good. He also brought Jared and I presents, so that was a huge plus. When we all heard that they were getting married, to say we were ecstatic would be understatement. Mom literally threw her phone at the wall. So, that pretty much explained our love for him.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw a pair of little blue eyes peek through the doorway. "Jare-bear, I know thats you," I sing as I see my 8-year old brother run away giggling. I laughed and let the evil lady complete my make up.
"Okay, finished!" the lady sighed and smiled at her masterpiece. I looked in the mirror and was actually surprised to see I looked semi-decent for once. Tyler came up from her chair she was sitting in and gasped at my face, "You look beautiful Ry!" I smiled and thanked her as I quickly got up out of my chair, seeing a little bit of stars and lights from standing up too fast and went to find my mother.

I found my mother and Lille talking privately in the brides room. Lillie had a worried expression on her face and I suddenly thought 'uh-oh.'
"Is everything okay mom?" I asked a little worried. They both looked up from each other and smiled.
"Ry, there has unfortunately been a change in the groomsmen." Mom stated, a sympathy smile on her face.
"Okay.." I said, unsure of why she was telling me. "What happened?" I asked.
"Peter got the flu and he won't be able to make it, John asked me if I can find anyone as soon as possible and well I did..." she said sheepishly.
