Betrayal

A/N: Before we begin I would like to apologise for not updating in a while. As I may have said earlier, I try to get all my ideas down at once before I forget. That means there ends up being a long period where I don't have any ideas. sorry.

Jason POV

Conquering the world is hard. I'm serious. The movies make it seem so easy. I guess three failed rebellions is the reason. First Luke, then the giants, and now us. It is tiring. I can't stop thinking about what Nico said. Oh right! You weren't there. I guess I should show you. CUE FLASHBACK!!!

Flashback of Destiny

We're discussing our first battle and evaluating.  We all agreed Percy could have done better. He spent half the battle in the restrooms. Then Nico said, 'I think we have a spy'. I was so shocked I almost choked on my Oreo. At least I can't die anymore. 'WHAT?!' This is ridiculous! A spy? Who could it be? Not my bros. Then Tartarus appeared. Now, I like the dude and all. He's nicer than I thought he'd be. But it is unnerving when he appears out of nowhere. Probably because he likes to scare us. 'How can you be sure Nico?' He asked. Nico looked at his father. 'Because, the Romans appear out of nowhere and fill in the holes in the campers defenses. You could tell from the way they moved that they had planned this'. Nico usually knows what he's talking about. I trust him. So we sent Percy to spy. It was his redemption for the restrooms incident. 

Fast Forward of Destiny 

So that's what happened. Right now I'm in bed and thinking. Who is the spy? Then someone knocks on the door. "Come in!" I call and I see Thalia. "What's up sis?" I ask. "I'm worried about Percy." She says and  know what she means. What if he gets back with Annabeth? It would break Thalia's heart. Especially since Annabeth started changing into an attention hog. If Annabeth wants to get with Percy, she'd try hard. "Don't worry Thalia" I say standing up. "His fatal flaw is loyalty remember? He'd never cheat on you. But if he did, I'd make him sorry". Thalia breaks down in my arms. I'll be there for my sister. Once she calms down I walk onto the balcony. Our fathers palace is in the clouds, much higher than Olympus. It floats around the sky, but you can use these magical telescopes to see anything on the ground. I decide to check up on Percy. I look through the telescope and see Percy in Annabeth's cabin. They're on her bed making out. My anger boils over. I look away from the telescope and storm into my room. How could Percy do that to my sister?! He's a dead man!

Percy POV

It's been a week since the Annabeth incident. I'm ready to tell the others what I know. In the meeting room, Jason keeps glaring at me. What did I do? Everyone else is looking at me expectantly. "They're building up their defenses. We may have to trickle a few troops on the inside first." "I can help with that." A voice from behind us says. We all draw our weapons and see Hestia. "Allow me to help. I have seen the cruelty of Zeus. I can teleport monsters through the camp hearth into the woods. We also have another ally, one on the council.". "How do we know you won't betray us?" Jason says. He seemed to glance at me as he said that. Does he think I'm the spy? "I swear on the Styx, I shall serve Tartarus to overthrow the Olympians." "JASON!" I scream. Why does Jason not trust me? "What did I do?! You stopped talking to me, and now your'e acting like I can't be trusted!" Tears well up in my eyes. "I thought you were my bro!". Jason looks shocked, then gets angry. "So did I! But then I see you cheating on my sister!". Everyone at the table was shocked. Thalia had tears in her eyes. "Percy? What does he mean?" I'm shocked. What made him think I'm cheating on her? I know he can look into camp, so he must have seen something. Then it clicks. "That wasn't my fault," I say. "Bro, trust me, if it's about me in annabeth's cabin, she messed with my head. I refused but she sprayed a thingy in my face". Hestia nods. "It's true. I saw. She used an aphrodisiac but you resisted.". Jason nods. "Sorry bro." I nod and we share a hug. Thalia calms down. I hug her. "I would never cheat on you Thals". Then Nico speaks up. "Well this has been nice, but I think it's time we got to work." Nico closes his eyes and the room grows cold. Light begins gathering on the table. "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" I yell over the screaming. Wind gathers and, with a final burst of light, everything dies down. On the table, is a strange, slug like creature. Reyna looks at it with confusion. "What is it?" "It's the first troop we're sending into camp." Nico says. I look in bewilderment at the weird slimy thing on the table. "That's meant to be a troop?". Hestia looks approvingly at it. "A wise choice." She says. Tartarus explains. "It is an egg of sorts. If it awakes straight away, The campers will notice the increase in monsters.". "So it'll hatch when we're ready? cool." Jason says. I agree. It's pretty neat.
