Nag-aantay ako sa gilid ng school lobby, laging ganito ang eksena sa tuwing magkikita kami ni Xavrina. Hindi kami gumagawa ng krimen. Sadyang wala lang pwedeng makaalam muna na nagdadate kami. Hindi pa kasi pinapayagan si Xav na magkarelasyon habang nag-aaral. Ganun ang rules ng Mama niya. Pero tinutuloy ko pa din ang panliligaw ko sa kanya. I told her that I'm willing to wait kahit kelan pa basta lang bigyan nya ako ng chance to prove myself that I'm worthy to be with her. Lakas ng tama ko sa kanya e.
Xavrina Xyrll Dela Cruz - ang pangalan ng babaeng mahal ko. Nililigawan ko na sya since freshman year in college at ako nasa sophomore year ko na, I have been asking her out since then. She's taking up Accountancy at she's a consistent Dean's Lister. Beauty and Brains ang mahal ko kaya proud na proud ako kahit wala pang nakakaalam tungkol samin. Pumayag ako sa gusto niya kahit na willing ako na kausapin ang Mama niya but she insisted na wag muna because she doesn't want to disappoint her Mom just like what her sister did.
Magdidinner kami as usual, pagkatapos ihahatid ko na sya sa kanila before curfew. I've been planning to ask her if pwede na naming sabihin sa Mama nya ang tungkol samin since gagraduate na din naman ako at mag fofourth year na siya.
"San tayo pupunta, malayo pa ba?" she asked without looking at me, nasa kotse na kami ngayon at papunta sa restaurant na binook ko.
"We're almost there, magugustohan mo dun kasi puro favorites mo ang sineserve nila", i replied slightly glancing at her with a cheerful tone.
She didn't replied back and just continue on looking out the window. Halatang pagod sya.
"Pwede kang umidlip muna, I'll wake you up when we arrive there" para naman makapagpahinga sya. Kawawa naman ang mahal ko.
"Alright! Sorry ah, andami kasing tinatapos e. Medyo nakakapagod na"she said while looking at me.
"Its okay, Rest for a bit" while patting her head softly.
Nakarating na kami sa restaurant at ginising ko na sya pagkadating namin. Isang exclusive table ang pinareserve ko para samin. Nakaseparate from the other customers na andun. Nakapag order na din ako bago pa kami makarating.
"What's the occasion? Bakit parang ang special ngayon compared before?"she asked, while giving me the suspicious look.
"Everyday is special whenever I'm with you Xav." i told her habang inaalalayan sya sa pag-upo.
"No seriously ano meron?" she's still hesitating
"Ang kulit mo, kumain muna tayo okay? Alam ko gutom ka na kanina ko pa naririnig ang mga alaga mo sa tiyan," i teasingly replied to her.
Nakapout lang sya at saktong siniserve na ang pagkain namin at nagkwentohan lang.
After namin kumain ay nagsimula nang magpatugtog ang pianist. I stood up to ask her for a dance, in which she gladly accepted.
"Xav? I want to ask you something" i hesitantly spoke while looking at her in the eye.
"Yes, go ahead Kal" while looking at me
I slightly pulled away and held her hands tightly "Xav, we've been going out for 2 years, and I never pressured you para sagutin ako agad-agad. I told you na kekelalanin muna natin ang isa't-isa bago kita tanungin nito", I looked at her eyes full of passion and sincerity." Xavrina Xyrll Dela Cruz, will you take me Kalester Seth Garcia to be your boyfriend?"kahit medyo nanginginig ang boses ko.
She smiled ang hugged me kahit medyo di niya ako abot, so I just leaned down and hugged her back. "Thank you for loving me hanggang ngayon, you have nothing to prove to me coz at the very beginning alam ko na sincere ka, she pulled back and copped my face while looking at me in the eye," Kaya Oo Kal, sinasagot na kita". Hindi ko maipaliwanag ang nararamdaman ko. Finally! Kami na! Officially kami na. I hugged her tightly sa sobrang saya ko "Thank you, Thank you for allowing me to be part of your life, hinding hindi ka magsisisi. I love you Xav. I love you so much."
HInatid ko sya sa kanila that night, pero hindi sa tapat ng bahay nila. Napag usapan namin na hayaang sya nalang ang magsabi sa Mama nya ng tungkol samin at isekreto na muna ang relasyon namin sa skool habang wala pang blessings mula sa Mama nya at naiintindihan ko siya.
That night I made a vow to never let her regret the decision she made.
