The Sun came to an end, giving way to the night, however Suwa was nowhere to be found. Snowflakes started coating the night sky and the chill of night set in; You grew worried. Checking your phone, you saw a blank screen with the time reading that he was already almost an hour late. You pondered on what to do, alone, in a sea of people enjoying the event,
Maybe he had to cancel and forgot to let you know? That doesn't sound like him, he sounded excited about tonight. Maybe something happened?
The letter for today wasn't accurate with today's events at all. Unsure of what to do, you called Kakeru.
"Hello?"
"Kakeru, is Suwa with you?"
"Huh? No, I thought he was in town with you."
"It's been an hour and he's not here, what should I do?"
"Have you checked anywhere else?"
Suddenly it came to you, Suwa showed you his favorite spot in town before, maybe he's there. Hanging up the phone immediately, You began running out of the event, your feet blindly guiding you as you ran,You have to find Suwa...
The chill in the air filled your lungs as you ran and your cheeks began to chill, but a fire inside you kept you going. Snow began to coat the ground as you ran harder, running out of breath as you neared your destination; He had to be there. When you arrived, you looked around desperately and found Suwa, sitting by the water. A wave of relief found you as you carefully inched closer towards him, "Suwa?" He snapped out of it and looked at you weakly, "Oh, you found me. I thought no one would think to look here." He stood up, turning to you slowly without the same life in his eyes. "Suwa, what's the matter with you?" The tall jock gave you a confused look, "What, you mean you don't already know?" You gasped, figuring out immediately what he meant when he said that, but still kept your composure, "Look Suwa, just let me explain-"
Suwa glared at you, pain flowing through his eyes, "And explain what, exactly? That everything that happened, every encounter that we've had was planned?" You froze at what he said, "What? Suwa, no. Listen to me, it's not what you think." The gentle ginger seemed to slump over as he blindly stared at the gift you gave him, "Are your feelings even true? Or did you follow the letters out of pity for me?" A snowball hit him square in the face as you stood there before him, "I got you your gift before the letters! I met you before the letters, I-" You paused, looking for the word to say in response, "I fell in love with you before the letters." Immediately turning away, you began running away from him, blinded by your tears. Suwa reached out to as you left his side, "No wait, (Y/N)!" He started after you as the snowfall grew heavier.
You didn't know why you were running, you also didn't know why you were crying. It seemed like right thing to do at the time, but you had to stop until you got lost. Blindly running with tears in your eyes, you didn't notice what you were about to run into. Suwa called out to you, "(Y/N)!" Turning to him, you stopped dead in your tracks, barely tripping on a tree trunk in your path. Closing your eyes, you were ready for impact as you felt your weight shift straight to the ground. Instead, you are caught mid-fall by a familiar, strong pair of arms, "Don't leave me alone, (Y/N)." He brought you into a passionate kiss, standing in the middle of the woods that is now covered in snow. You stood there in shock as he looked deeply into your eyes with a serious tone, "I love you, (Y/N)."
You started your journey home when Suwa broke the silence to ask you a question, "Need a ride home?" You covered your mouth, chuckling lightly as he pointed to his back for you to hop on, "Are you sure you can carry me back?" He picked you up easily, holding you comfortably on his back, "I could do this all night." You held onto him tightly, snuggling up to him to stay warm. The snow covered everything in sight with a beautiful shade of white as you made your way home, "Hey, (Y/N). Check out the snow, isn't it pretty?" You were asleep when he turned his head towards you, whispering lightly, "I never deserved you." A light kiss hit your cheek as you both continue through to your journey home.
