"Mom! Where's my lunch box?" I shouted.
I was running late that day. It was just a fine and normal morning.
That was what I thought.
Dad was at the living room watching television. I sat beside him as I wore my socks and school shoes.
"Just a minute dear!" Mom answered from the kitchen. "Kevin still hasn't arrived, hasn't he?"
I walked to the door to check on him. Kevin.
"He's still not here. But it's starting to rain though." I walked back to the sofa.
"He must have overslept. He's always early whenever you both go to school together." Mom chuckled.
"You're going together to school with Kevin again?" Dad asked.
"Yep. We're gonna ride his bike." I smiled.
"Be careful. Hold on to Kevin tightly so you won't fall again like last time." He said.
I laughed then hugged him. "Geez! We'll be extra careful this time, Dad!"
"Okay! It's done! Where's your bag, Abbey?"
I stood up then grabbed my bag to the kitchen.
"Here." She placed it inside my bag.
"Thanks!" I smiled.
We walked to the living room. "Oh my! Look at the time! You better run without Kevin or you'll be really really late!"
"Alright." I walked to the door. Where on earth is Kevin? He's not the late type, alright. I guess he'll just have to explain himself at school. "I'll be going then."
"BREAKING NEWS! A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT WAS HIT BY A CAR JUST NOW. APPARENTLY THE YOUNG MAN IS SAID TO BE A STUDENT FROM SUMMERTON HIGH SCHOOL. THE STORY WAS, MR. FOR KEVIN DAWSON'S FAMILY, FRIENDS AND RELATIVES, WE'D LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT HE HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO HAMILTON HOSPITAL." The newscaster reported.
"Kevin... Dawson?" I muttered. My knees wobbled like crazy. I fell on the floor. What did she say? I can't think straight right now. I'm so messed up right now. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? "Kev-?"
"Abb!" Mom and Dad ran to me then hushed me. Mom hugged me tightly.
"KEEEEEEEEVIN!!!" I cried.
"Abbey!" I turned back.
"Yul. Mitch." I smiled. Yul and Michelle (Mitch's full name) are my bestest friends. Well, of course, they're also Kevin's best friends. Except, Mitch's his cousin.
"Mitch and I were thinking of visiting Kevin later. Wanna come with us?"
"Huh?" I gulped. "Umm.. Sure." I actually don't want to, but how could I possibly tell them that I don't want to meet my own boyfriend?
"Abbey Atkinson!"
We turned back to where the voice came from. A boy with a strikingly familiar face ran to us. We can immediately tell by the color of his tie that he's an upperclassman. To be exact, he's a senior. But that's not what caught my attention from when I saw him running towards us, what made my heart skip a beat was his familiar angelic face. He stopped in front of us, huffing, breathing heavily from all the running. He pushed his jet black hair upward and chuckled, making his face more visible. I was shocked; confused and bewildered. Kevin. If it weren't for the thought of reality, I would've embraced him so tightly and cry in joy!
