I wish they would die.
I wish they would suffer like I do.
I wish they would fucking die.
"Mark!" I snapped back to reality to a hand being waved condstanly in front of me by Karen. "You fell asleep or what?"
I needed a moment to remember where I was in time and space. Looking around, I found myself in the chemistry classroom, totally alone - well, despite Karen, who was clearly mad at me for making her wait.
I fell asleep on class.
"Sorry..." I finally managed to say with a hoarse voice. I quickly cleared my throat. "I mean sorry. I must've fell asleep"
"Yeah, obviously" she rolled her eyes. "Come on, I don't have all day" she grabbed my hand, and pulled me up, barely letting me pick up my stuff.
Karen was always like this. The doul punk girl with the charms of the devil. And everything she did and say fit perfectly with her appearance.
She always wore black and blood red, in different varieties. Today, she decided on a black leather jacket, skirt and boots, with a red top that let her belly be shown. And of course, she had all her piercings, necklaces and bracelets on. That was like half of her personality.
Next to her, I always felt powerless.
"Mark, stop daydreaming and walk properly" she groaned at me, making me realize that I was practically staring.
I glanced down on my feet and fastened my steps.
"So, class was this boring?" She suddenly asked, with a much softer tone than before.
"Huh?"
"You fell asleep" she reminded me.
"Oh, uh. Yeah. Pretty boring"
"Riiight" she shrugged. "Or you just stayed up all night again?"
"Well..." that wasn't really the case. But the truth was too embarrassing to talk about. So I let out a sigh. "You got me"
"Talkative Markus strikes again!" She said with a sigh, then turned toward me. "Come on, don't be this boring. Socialize"
"I'm doing it right now, right?" I raised my eyebrow.
"Yeaah, no. You don't"
"Then sorry to disappoint you"
"No it's not like that. Just..." she sighed again. "Just be more open, y'hear?"
"Karen, not again-"
"But you have to talk to people!" There we are again. The 'don't be so unsocial' talk from Karen. To be honest, this was the last thing I needed right now.
"Karen, I'm fine like this"
"But you won't be! Think about your future, you soon will have to get a job and-"
"What about you then?" I suddenly interrupted before she would really get into the talk. "You and your punk style, how will you find a decent job like this?"
"Theres university!" She snapped back at me.
"Same goes for me as well" I started to get annoyed. This was not the first time we had this argument, and to be honest, I was getting tired of her trying to make me feel bad about myself, when in reality, her style was way worse than my social skills. At least I looked decent... Most of the times.
"Alright, alright" she groaned. "Sorry. But I'm worried about you" she admitted.
I rolled my eyes. Of course she was worried. More like, worried about her portable excuse to get away from her problems.
