Anna's P.O.V:
After texting all the girls and promising to go to MagCon with them; I didn't know what to tell Parker.
He came all this way to spend time with me, and now I have to leave?
While I was analyzing my thoughts I hear a knock on the door.
"Parker!" I scream, running into his arms.
"I knew you were gonna do that," he laughed and hugged back.
I pulled away and looked at him.
"Hi," he started again.
"Hi!" I replied.
"I've missed you so much," he continues while he walks in and places his things down.
"A lot has happened..." I trailed off.
After he set his suitcase and some other things to the side, he opened his arms again.
I walked to them and embraced him in another hug.
He rubbed my back gently and I had my arms wrapped around his neck.
"I'm pretty hungry, you know a good place to eat?" He asked me.
I grabbed his hand and we were gone.
~~~~~
We went to this not too fancy restaurant, and after that he took my for a walk around the city.
"So," he starts.
"So," I mock.
"So what's been happening?"
"I could ask you the same question, mister 'I'm so bored, I don't know what to do.' What's going on?" I asked, prepared to give advice.
He sighed and looked straight ahead; as if he didn't want to tell me.
Then he finally spoke up.
"I just want to do something with myself. I'm working in a goddamn airport. My worst fear is that my parents aren't proud of me, and I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't."
I looked at him while he stared down at the concrete. His hands were in his pockets; the sign of closure.
"You said the last time we saw each other, 'why aren't you an actor or a singer?...' Well it's because I've been lost for a really long time, Anna."
"There's still time.."
"Time for what? To sell out Madison Square Garden? That's not my reality."
The both of us stayed silent for about a minute.
"And here I am. Stuck as a damn waiter in an airport. How sad does that sound?"
"Pretty sad," I said jokingly.
I nudged his arm and a faint smile appeared on his long face.
"Things happen, Parker. You can either run from them, or learn from them. You are something great," I reassured.
He kept staring down; but I felt his fingers interlock with mine.
"Everyone comes with a baggage. And the best part is finding someone to help you unpack."
I didn't think this statement would accomplish what it did; and I was still looking at him as he didn't make eye contact with me.
He suddenly looks up and catches my eyes with his. Before I could think he pulls me in close and presses his lips against mine.
I felt butterflies in my stomach. The weird thing was; is that I thought of Jack. I tried telling myself to stop: that Parker needs you. But the thought of Jack kept replaying in my mind. Our first kiss, our last kiss... But something was telling me that it wasn't our last kiss... I have to focus on the future, not the past. Jack's in the past.
He pulled away and looked into my eyes.
"I'll tell you one thing my parents would be proud of," he says.
"That I met such an amazing girl like you."
***
We continue to walk; and then I remember what I had to ask/tell him.
"I know you just got here, but this weekend, I have to go out of town.."
"What?"
"We had everything planned and I know that, but this thing came up," I tried to explain.
"What thing?" He questioned, furrowing his eyebrows.
"An event."
"About what?" He questioned again.
"Good Jesus Parker we just started dating and you're already acting like an over protective boyfriend."
"Boyfriend?"
I kissed his cheek as he smiled and laughed to himself.
"Yes, boyfriend."
I had to do a little cover story... I was planning to make everything right with Jack and let Parker go; but the happiness and love that filled his eyes when I called him 'boyfriend' made me feel guilty.
"So what am I supposed to do while you go to this event," he asked once again.
"I don't know... Wait, why don't you come with me!?"
Oh lord. What am I saying? Things were swirling through my head, I might've been thinking that but I never though I'd say it.
"Am I allowed to?"
"Of course!"
Digging myself a deeper hole.
I was just going to have to tell everyone that Parker was coming.
I really hope they won't be mad... I had a feeling the whole point of me going with them was to fix things with Jack.
Well now we can fix things with Parker's arm around me.
Jack's P.O.V:
After such a long day at MagCon, the guys were talking about relaxing for a while in Cam and Nash's hotel room.
"You coming?" Matt asks me as we make our way to the elevator.
"No, I think I'll go to bed early tonight," I reply.
"Come on. Don't let relationship problems get involved with your friends."
"Can I do anything without you guys assuming it's because of Anna?" I ask annoyed.
"Depends," Cameron pipes in.
"What does that mean," I say again.
"We just know that you're not over her. But that shit is eating you alive, man."
"I know... It's hard, guys. This is absolutely unbearable."
"Tell you what. You come and hangout tonight, and you can forget about Anna and have fun. Just the guys; how it used to be before everything came up," Cameron finishes.
"And then, you'll be better the next day. Especially cause cha boys hooked you up," Nash says in mid-laugh.
"What did you do..." I ask suspiciously.
"Don't worry about it," Matt says.
"Have a good time with us tonight. You'll find everything out before you know it."
