Chaper 1-New Girl
"Great, my first day- wait scratch that HOUR- in St. Louis and I'm already completely lost" I mutter under my breath as I look around the metro station. OK well I'm going to be cliché right now and introduce myself like all those main girls do in chick flicks. This is my story and I want you to know about me. I'm Tatelyn, I’m 18, and my mom basically just kicked me out of the house.
Now you see, I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with my life, so as soon as I graduated my mom sent me off to go live with my cousin. He apparently runs some huge business. And he's supposed to be here right now at this metro station, which he isn't at. Just then I hear a bing and look in my pocket.
*New message from: Calvin; Hey Tate! Can I call you that? Good! Sooooo sorry I'm not there :) emergency. Just come stop by at this address little cousin ;) 4593 Garder Court*
That little shithead. Excuse my French. I sign aggressively as I walk out of the station and sit my bags down. I pull up my GPS app and type in the address my stupid cousin gave me.
"WHAT THE CRAP?! IT"S ALL THE WAY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CITY" I scream out loud. I didn’t mean to say it out loud, I just did. I ignore the looks I’m being given as I walk over to the metro schedule and look at the times. I start to stress out over the fact that I have to travel alone once more in this big strange city.

"Can I sit here ma'am?"
I look up from the window and see a handsome face. Wow, who knew guys in suits looked so good. I’m in the middle of examining his gorgeous chocolate brown eyes and deep auburn hair when the man clears his throat.
“Well can I?" He asks impatiently.
"Oh... Oh! Of course you can! Sorry I zoned out for a minute, I didn’t mean to keep you waiting" I exclaim shyly. I’m not used to meeting new people. I've grown up with everyone in my old town.
"Thanks....." He says unsure of himself. He glance at me as I continue looking at him.
"Um... hello miss, I’m Greg. Now can you please stop staring at me like I just saved a burning house....?"
"Oh gosh! I’m so so so sorry." I look shyly down at my lap and blush. I sit the rest of the train ride in quiet, staring at my hands in my lap. When the metro slows down I realize it’s my stop and I get up. As I stand the man, Greg, stands up as well. We look at each other surprised. I rip my eyes away though, so he does not think I’m staring again. I step off the metro and start to walk where the GPS is telling me to walk when I feel a hand on my shoulder.
"You must be new around here. I'm sorry if I scared you earlier, if I did" Greg grins.
"Oh no you didn’t! And yeah how’d you know?" I ask with suspicion.
He takes on glace at the iPhone in my hands with the GPS app up. I blush and look down again. Suddenly there’s a business card in my face. "Call me if you need anything!" he shouts and walks way. So he's a lawyer huh? Hot. My girly, teenagish thoughts are interrupted by a loud bing.
*New Message: Calvin; Hey! Right by the metro station is a little market. Could you get me a few things? Thanks! I need~ bananas, Liquor, Cherimoya, Shrimp, and as much beer as you can carry.*
I roll my eyes. I’m not even old enough to buy the stupid alchohol. Is he an idiot? I walk into the nearest market and grab a basket. I walk briskly to the fresh fish area. I grab some shrimp and head over to the spice isle. I scan over everything as I try to hurry and get the shopping done. I can honestly say it’s getting dark which makes me scared. Yes it seems like a nice area but I have heard the horror stories of Saint Louis. I growl loudly when I can’t find the cherimoya.
