You always call me ocean eyes
Because they look like the sea
Because they're beautiful I suppose
But deep down in the ocean there are dark memories and painful truths that nobody yet is aware of
And the ocean has been through a lot
Perhaps it needed a breathing mask and is called ghostbuster because of a bunch of cells that formed in its brain
And perhaps the whole of the ocean was abused and misused and mistreated
But
You see in all it's beauty
The ocean has been through a lot and you're a sailor who for some reason keeps saying it
But now the waters are getting too rough
And the waves are crashing into the boat and it's sinking it
And the ocean doesn't know what to do because it's not intending to hurt
It's just trying to understand
But it can't understand
Because something terrible is wrong with the ocean
And lord knows it loves you
But even the ocean is getting too rough for itself and everything in the ocean is being brought back up and everything about it is becoming ugly and those dark truths are surfacing like the scum at the bottom of the ocean and the ocean can't deal with it
And one day
In years to come
The ocean won't be there
Maybe it gets too hot
Maybe it's too much for the ocean to handle itself
It was only meant to survive 13 years but somehow it defied the odds
But now those odds are not in the oceans favour
They are against the ocean
And it doesn't know what to do
But self destruct
