Chapter 12: The Truth of the Black Dragon

     To be honest...there was a lot of things I wish I hadn't done. I wished I hadn't agreed with Kira. I wished I hadn't met Sarah...and now, I wish I hadn't went with Xeno. There were a lot of other things that I wished I hadn't done...but I couldn't remember what they were...and to be honest, it was better that way. I couldn't imagine the sins I have committed in the past...I didn't want to either. We were going to some temple in Africa...so it was going to be a while before we actually get to our destination. Where in Africa was beyond me...but what Xeno needed to show me must have been pretty important...for he was silent for the entire trip...but his face was grim. It didn't bother me though...it gave me enough time to catch up on a couple hours of sleep...and to collect what was going on. I didn't know too much about Merlin, but I think it's safe to say, he's not the one pulling the strings...there's Sarah...she could have been a potential threat, because she's been following me on the quest the entire time. Xeno...I just met him, and he taught me everything he knew...so it couldn't have been him. That narrows it down to two people...Kira...and Paradox. One of those two have to be pulling the strings...the one controlling this "curse"...so if one of the two die...I'll be set free. I'm more or less placing my bets on Kira though. There has been too much evidence that he's involved with the...Souless. He needs to be stopped...as soon as possible....

-Six hours later...-

      "Leon." I heard my name being called out softly by a female's voice, along with a smooth, small hand gently shaking my body. "Leon...we're here." The voice said again. I slowly opened my eyes, trying to awaken from my...nap as I would call it, then looked over at the person next to me...Sarah. I slowly stood up, as I felt my knees pop with a slight pain. I only sighed then walked off. A few moments later, I was out of the private jet and onto the land...the barren...wasteland. This was Africa? This place looks like shit... I silently thought to myself. There wasn't a sign of life in miles, or from what I could see...the only ones that were...alive at the moment were me, Sarah, Xeno and the pilot who flew us here. Xeno stood in front of me, remaining silent, as he glanced at me. "Come." Xeno ordered, then he walked off. I only followed, feeling Sarah's presence behind me as well. After what seemed almost an eternity of walking...we managed to finally approach an old, looking temple that looked ready to fall at any moment. He doesn't expect me to go in there, does he? I thought...and surly enough, Xeno walked inside...that was a yes. I only sighed silently and followed him. What I saw next...surpirsed the hell out of me. Inside the temple, it was completely empty...except for what looked like symbols and caveman drawlings all over the walls. Xeno glanced at me and nodded. He wanted me to read the markings. 

    Λεωνίδας, αν διαβάζετε αυτό ... έχετε ξεπέρασε τις προσδοκίες μου. Θα επιβιώσει το τέλος ... και βρήκε τον κόσμο των ανθρώπων ... ως Η Θεά προβλεφθεί. Μπορεί ... μπορεί να προκαλέσει σύγχυση ... Η θεά είχε προβλέψει ότι ο δράκος είναι το κλειδί για την απελευθέρωση ψυχές μας από το Lost κατάρα. Δεν έχω πολύ περισσότερο χρόνο πριν με βρει ... beware του Lord of the Abyss. Έχετε μια ιστορία μαζί του ... μην πέσουν στα χέρια του, για μια ακόμη φορά.

       It was....greek. Whatever carved this into the wall...must have left this message for me. It...was almost unreadable...until I began to realize something. The letters began shifting and forming themselves into...english. I stared at it the message, and read it once more. 

Leonidas , if you read this ... you have exceeded my expectations . Will you survive the end ... and found the world of humans ... The Goddess as predicted. Can ... can be confusing ... However , you clear your mind in the best possible way . It is known what we call the Third Dragon ... half dragon and half god ... the last of his kind , along with Xeno. Unlike other dragons , you can go to any format, and still have the power of a god . Leonidas ... hold the power of the Black Dragon ... which is known as a curse , but being victims along with other beings who believed that power is a curse . The goddess had predicted that the dragon is the key to unlocking our souls from Lost curse . I do not have much more time before find me ... beware of the Lord of the Abyss. You have a history with him ... do not fall into his hands once again .

    I remained silent as I remained silent. The message had cleared up a lot of questions, but opened up a few more...what happened fifteen thousand years ago? And what did Kira exactly do to make me play into his hands. I looked at a skeleton next to the wall...the poor bastard must have written the message before his dying breath. I then looked over to Xeno and slowly nodded. "Kira...is the enemy." I admitted...finally realizing the truth.
