Percy had told Annabeth last night. he had told her to come to his cabin to talk alone. they sat down on his bed "Percy what is it?" Annabeth asked noticing how nervous he was "I'm sorry Annabeth I have to break up with you, I like another person. I'm sorry I I did not know myself". Annabeth broke down crying "Who is it, who is she!!?" Annabeth was mad but sad also, "Nico" Percy said looking at his feet " I love Nico.". Annabeth stoped crying and looked at Percy in surprise "Nico? you like Nico? how do you know he likes you". "He told me in a dream that since the day he met me he fell in love" Percy paused " When I learned he loved me I became more attracted to him and less attracted to you, I never knew I was gay". "Percy the word gay means happy, so if being with Nico makes you happy, than be with him" Annabeth took a long breath "As long as we're still friends" "Of course Annabeth".they just sat in silence for a minute than Annabeth kissed him on the cheek one last time.

The Athena cabin was outside. Annabeth was about to call everybody back inside for lights out when Malcolm climbed into her bunk. "Annabeth are you okay, why aren't you outside, you look like you've been crying." "Malcolm, Percy broke up with me" she knew Percy did not want her to tell anyone. "oh, I'm sorry what can I do?" suddendly got mad " why in Tarturs did he break up with you, that idiot why are you not mad!?" "Malclom me and Percy are still friends, okay" Annabeth said trying to relax her brother. "No Annabeth! are you stupid, that's what everyone says when they break up! No you two are going to probloly start shunning each other!" "Malcolm shut up" Annabeth said in a hushed tone "I don't need everbody knowing. this is different it's different", and with that she called lights out.
