The next day...
(Name)'s first class was interrupted rudely by the sudden sound of a door slamming wide open. The chatter almost immediately ceased, as all gazes shifted to the doorway. There stood Silver Rocket, uniform wrinkled, backpack hanging from his shoulders by one strap, and crimson hair askew.
And yet, he still didn't fail to make half of the female students sigh in admiration.
I didn't know he was in this class. (Name) mentally groaned. Silver had apparently skipped all of his periods yesterday, so she might have to see him as an unpleasant surprise throughout the day.
Much to her dismay, Silver plops himself in the only empty seat — the one right next to her. (Name) felt her body stiffen, as she turned to practically drill her gaze into the whiteboard. She didn't want to even acknowledge his existence.
Gold and Crystal greet Silver with friendly words, but he completely ignores them. Instead only a few seconds after he settles in, Silver fishes his cell phone out of his pocket and begins tapping away. The teacher didn't even bother to reprimand him.
(Name) found herself yawning as the teacher droned on and on, in that same monotonous tone. She had stayed up later than expected last night, especially when she was forced to drag a wasted Silver back to the dorm with her.
Why did I even help him? She chuckled to herself. Maybe I should've left him out there to rot. But she knew that there was no way she could've ever done that, bully or not.
Once the bell rang, (Name) immediately began putting away her things, but Silver snatched her notebook right out her hand.
"I need the notes," he says curtly, before turning and stomping out of the classroom.
"What's got his panties in a twist?" Crystal scoffed. "He's such an asshole sometimes."
No kidding. (Name) rolled her eyes. "I doubt he'll listen to me, so can one of you ask for it back if you get the chance?" Both Crystal and Gold nodded in agreement.
"He doesn't even study for the tests. Why would he even take your notebook?" Gold mused.
"Maybe he just wants to piss me off on purpose, who knows," (Name) grunted, annoyed.
They say their hasty goodbyes before (Name) trudged towards her next class, in a bad mood. On the way, the purple-haired girl named Casey — Silver's girlfriend — stopped her in the middle of the hallway.
"Hi," she said with a surprisingly... friendly smile?
Is that fake? The (H/C)-haired female squinted slightly, but couldn't find any malicious intent. Might as well be friendly, there's no reason to be a brat if it's not needed... "Hello," she replied nonchalantly. "Can I help you?"
"I don't know if you remember from yesterday or not; I saw you sitting with Silver's friends. I'm Casey." Casey grinned. "And you are?"
"(Name)."
"Cool, nice to meet you. You're in my next period class, I think. Professor Cyprus?"
(Name) nodded. "Yeah."
"Let's walk together, shall we?"
Why are you being so nice to me? (Name) was tempted to ask, but only responded with a meek nod. She began following Casey down the hallways.
It was quite obvious that Casey was a queen of the school, due to the fact that everyone's heads turned towards her as they walked by. The purplette didn't seem to show any reaction; she was obviously used to it.
