Chapter 7

Orion's new aunt

Orion- 5 years old

This chapter is focused mainly on Orion, but it will be also focusing on somepony who I think needs to be added to this story. All stories need that one pony who you love and hate at the same time. Almost to the point where you wish they weren't there but the author brings them back spontaneously, just to spite you. It's a good thing she's my second waifu(a wife you can't have) otherwise I would have introduced her earlier. I won't say who it is so you'll just have to read to find out.

"Keep up Orion. We need to get to the castle before it starts raining!" called out Twilight to her son.

"Ok! I'll be right there!" he replied. He had stopped to look in one of the shops on the street to look at a very interesting amulet that he thought he had read about somewhere.

'Was that the Alicorn Amulet? Nahh, probably a fake.' he thought.

"There it is Orion. Canterlot Castle." said Dusk as he walked up next to his son.

"Wooooaaah. It's huge!"

"It's bigger on the inside." remarked Dusk.

"Really?!" replied the young colt.

"Really." said Dusk, 'But Doctor Whooves house was really big! I still can't figure that guy out."

"Will you two stop dilly-dallying. The weather ponies are already moving the clouds into place!" said Twilight.

She was right. The weather team was already moving clouds into place for a very wet rainstorm that would last three days.

"Come on. I'll show you the library where me and your mom used to live." said Dusk.

"Ok!" replied Orion.

If there was one thing that could compete with Orion's appetite it was his appetite for knowledge. He loved reading any book that he could find in the castle at home and would spend hours helping his parents reorganize bookshelves. He especially loved reading the Daring Do series which reminded him vaguely of something even though he couldn't place what it was. Vanilla had said something about "Indiana Jones" but she was sleep talking during one of the sleepovers they had(will be covered in a later chapter. maybe.). Anyways, once they were inside the castle it immediately started raining.

"Woah! This is huge!" Orion said as he walked through the giant double doors.

"Yep, and this is just the entrance. Wait till you see the library." said Dusk.

To put it simply, Orion's jaw dropped at the sight of all the books in the library.

"How long are we staying?" Orion asked.

"A few days. Why?"asked Twilight even though she already knew the answer.

"If you need me I'm gonna be reading. If I don't resurface assume I am lost in the power of books." he said.

"You got it bud." replied Dusk.

"I'll bring him a juice box and some string cheese later" he whispered to Twilight.

"Please do. If he's anything like us he'll be here all night." she whispered back.

"Have fun we'll see you after the meeting. Remember Uncle Shining will be right outside the door if you need him." she said to Orion.
