Candidness
That's what I'm striving for here
Won't be the most eloquent poem
Yet here goes
I love you
Did you hear me?
I love you
I'm in love with you
I don't recall when it happened
I'm just delighted that it did
To swipe a famous movie line
You complete me
You make me look forward to each day
You make me laugh and smile
You make me feel whole
These last few weeks
I've learned something
I'm incomplete without you
Every day can be described as blah
Any laughter or smile is much less vibrant
When I'm asleep I dream of you
When I'm awake I fantasize about you
I wonder how you are, what you're doing
I want to reach out to you
Yet fear continuously holds me back
But you know what?
Forget fear
It may kiss my you know what
I wouldn't blame you if you turned away
Yet I've been encouraged to at least try
I apologize for my recent behavior
Please, oh God, please don't blame yourself
It's all on my shoulders
My issues with myself
My insecurities and pessimism
I shoved you away
Because I didn't deem myself good enough
Do I now believe that I am?
No, but I'm working on it
I have every intention of being good enough
You said we could work on it together
While I declared that distance was the answer
I was exceedingly wrong
You're my beautiful sun
Without you I'm lost in the dark
We had a sixty-five year plan
I'd be eternally grateful
If it could be reinstated
As I'd adore reaching my golden years
With you, only you
I love you
Did you hear me?
Oh my goodness
How I love you
I'm so in love with you
I don't recall when it happened
I'm just delighted that it did
And I promise you, Charlie
That I will love you
Until time no longer exists
