Chapter 4: The Sanctuary

I slowly walked towards the end of my small alley. I didn't have any idea of what I was going to do once I was out. Were the authorities still searching for me? They can't have been. By the looks of it, a day had passed. Wow, I was tired.

My hunger began to get the better of me and I quickened my pace. I stepped out of the alleyway and glanced around. All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain on the back of my head. I slumped to the floor and everything went black.

Inferno wasn't there this time. All there was was blackness everywhere, like looking through a telescope without inserting 10p. Was I going to wake up? Or was I going to be stranded in this void forever? I couldn't believe it. I had come this far, just to fall. All my efforts were for nothing.

"I think they hit him too hard."

"But they never do."

"Why hasn't he woken up then?"

"Shut up! You'll wake him up!"

"Nah, He's out for the count."

I groaned.

"Is he now?"

I didn't panic because I knew where I was. I was back in my bed at home and it had all been a bad nightmare.

"Hello? Are you awake?"

That wasn't my mothers voice. Where was I? My heart pounded in my chest and I gasped for air. I had been kidnapped. I kicked my legs defensively and waved my arms around.

"Calm down stupid." That was the first voice. It was definitely a male voice.

"Don't call him that! You were worse!" This was female.

"No I wasn't!"

"Yes you were!"

"I wasn't!"

"This isn't making the situation any better! You probably want to know why your here."

"Yes I do!" I yelled.

"Ok. I'm probably not the one to be explaining but here goes. You've probably noticed that your a bit... different."

I nodded.

"Well this is a sanctuary for our kind where we learn to train our powers. You are put into groups of four. All with different elemental powers. They work together and train."

"You got all that?"
