Kane was walking with Annilise and surprisingly to him the demon barely reacted while she was around and he was wondering why, "Miss Annie..." Kane began, "please just call me Annie I'm only fifteen it feels weird when you put miss in front of my name... Like I'm much older than what I really am..."
"Of course Annie, so what brought you here to stay with us, the terrible man slaughtering Lords of the Underworld?"
"Regardless of what Galen says to Alice or even me I don't think you guys are evil... You guys are just misunderstood... You help out with a lot of charities, and helping where places need help, so I thank you for doing that for the world..."
"Some of those stories are true though Annie... We're not good people at all. We've killed people. That's what got us into this predicament in the first place we got possessed by these demons based on what we did in the past with the dimOuniak. We were cursed to live a life with the most dangerous demons that resided in that box..."
"And I was an orphan most of my life... Forced to see the ugly side of humanity..."
"I see, I'm sorry that you had to go through that, do you mind if I asked you about it?"
"Of course I will be willing to tell you but I want to sit on a nice warm bed first..."
"Of course. It's just beyond this door over here Annie" Kane said as he continued to walk forward and lead her to the bedroom and opened the door and lead her to the bed and the female just sat down looking at him, "alright so I'll tell you all about me until this point..." Kane prepared himself to listen to her story.
Annilise took a deep breathe looking at him trying to work up all of her courage not to cry in front of this man. She was kept as a prisoner for so long whether she was in the foster home or when she was trapped with Galen and forced to bend at his will, "alright I guess I should start from the beginning... I grew up in the country of France, my given name is Annilise Belcourt and I had two parents like anyone else... however when I was four. I lost my parents in a car crash on their way home from a business trip. I was with one of my friends because I had no other family members to watch me...." Annilise paused in able to calm herself down from her impending tears that were about to crash down on her cheeks, but Kane put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, "you may continue whenever you're ready Annie... I'm in no rush today..." Annilise nodded her head as she began to sniffle a little bit here and there, "The town I grew up in was a small one, La Rochelle, so there was no other place for me to go being we are on the edge of the country and a harbor town... So I was stuck in foster care... I travelled from one place to the other because the foster houses were all in cahoots... I went through city after city and town after town and no one was able to handle me because I was different, and not different in a good way like most people say but different in a bad way... But I digress... After being moved and transferred to so many places I finally just gave up and I ran away from the foster house I was in... This one was located in a more renowned city, Paris, I ran away from it because I couldn't handle it anymore I was thirteen... Once you turn thirteen in foster care it's over for you because no one wants you... I ran away in winter... I was homeless, cold, and alone... I was waiting for death to just take me... But then that horrible man showed up... He told me that he was an angel and that he would take care of me... I soon found out what I thought was an angel was really a demon... Two years I rotted there... Forced to be his maid, his whore... Lucky for me he didn't touch me anywhere that mattered... Lucky for me I was able to stay a virgin in his presence... Alice was there at the time training to be the best hunter in his division and for those two years I was there we never really spoke until recently when Alice became lieutenant. She was the only person that still had kindness in her... She was just following orders... I don't blame her... She made things right though... She finally came through on her promise to get me out of there... and that's why I'm here now because of that promise..." Annilise finished her story as the tears were freely falling from her face rubbing them to make sure all the wetness was gone. The young girl then leaned into Kane hugging him, this honestly shocked the male greatly, but he wrapped his arms around her because that seemed the best thing for him to do for Annilise, "hey you're safe now nothing will hurt you I promise..."
Alice was with Sabin in her room as the female just started to pace back and forth clearly annoyed, "Sabin we can't just sit here when there is a monster like Galen on the loose he needs to be stopped and he needs to be stopped now..."
"Alice, you need to be patient I know it can be a little annoying waiting, but you need to calm down and think... If you just go in there with swords and guns blazing you are not going to get very far..."
"You're right... Sorry... I guess I'm just a little bit irritable... I haven't had much sustenance lately... I've been trying to keep Annilise safe..."
"What do you mean by sustenance Alice...?"
"I'm a vampire... Use your big smart man brain to figure it out... Oh wait... You don't have one... You just know battle strategy and hurtful things... You know nothing about anything else..."
"Listen here Alice I don't have to put up with this because you are the one that is deciding to be a stupid little brat..." Sabin shot back with a growl as his demon was stirring the pot of doubts for Alice and shooting them at her.
"Now that is hardly fair... stop being so immature Sabin!"
"Not until you stop first! I'm not some idiot you are making me out to be... I know a lot more than you do! I sure as shit have been alive longer than you, brat! I'm the keeper of doubt, and right now I can see right through you! First you think you are not a good enough protector for anyone. You think that because you haven't found your family's killer, that this same killer is going to strike again! You are also so overwhelmed with your abilities you don't know what way is up or down anymore... You think that because of your powers you are just some monster. Well that may be true to society because you are a vampire, that isn't true for the rest of the society that looks up to you..." Sabin started as he started to pull down his shirt that he was wearing exposing his shoulder and his neck area, "if you are so hungry then just drink from me you idiot child..."
Alice looked at Sabin completely shocked, never in her life has someone ever said that to her, no one was ever willing to give her their blood at all. It was really tempting her and she almost couldn't refuse, but then she'd be showing him the true monster that she is, "I... I... I can't Sabin... N-Not your blood... I don't want you to think of me as a monster... I'd be breaking our truce for sure... Please just let me go out to the woods and find a-an animal o-or something..." Alice said stammering, while she may be a hard ass on her exterior, her interior was honestly the most kindest and caring person ever. This cause a shake of Sabin's head as he grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her down onto the bed her fangs right next to his neck. Alice was still shocked, however, she bit into the male's skin because she couldn't take it anymore. Her fangs extended out and slammed into the skin causing the sound of skin being torn to echo through the room. The vampire female then started to drink Sabin's blood, it was almost euphoric drinking his blood, it was much more satisfying than any animal blood she's had in the past. The vampire continued to drink the blood almost unable to stop herself until she finally snapped out of it and she scrambled away from him wiping her now bloody mouth, "S-sorry... You must think I'm a monster now don't you... I almost drained you completely dry..."
"On the contrary Alice... I think you are completely fine... You're not a monster at all.. You make yourself out to be the monster because you starve yourself until you can't take it anymore... If you were to regularly drink blood you wouldn't be deemed a monster anymore..."
"You really think so Sabin?"
"I know so, you damn brat..."
