"Kyungsoo. I was thinking..."
"What?"
"Uh, what do you really think about me?" Junmyeon asked.
Shit, shit! Kyungsoo, now's your chance! Tell him how you feel!
"Y-you're a good assistant."
"Oh. Well thanks I guess.."

Oh god, he fucked up real big and it was only 22:00. The night's still young, he can confess later... right?

An hour later, Junmyeon had to try again. There's no going back. No more sleepless nights thinking what could happen if he'd said this and that sooner.

"So that's all?" Junmyeon asked again, trying to squeeze out Kyungsoo's feelings like the last toothpaste in a tube. Come on, please!
"Actually I... Kind of like you."
"In what way?" Junmyeon's heart seemed to skip a beat whenever new words escaped his lips. If only he could see how cute he was, as he was trying to speak without stuttering.
"M-more than a friend?"

This is it, Junmyeon. Go for it!
"I like you too." Junmyeon paused for a second, hesitating. The silence before the storm. Just let it all out, he thought.

"I can't help but to fall in love with you, Kyungsoo." He added.

If only Kyungsoo could see his face. His emotions and gestures. Junmyeon's voice seemed shaky and unsure, albeit that spark of love was still found in his words. It felt like roses were blooming in his garden again. He had never in his life been loved like this. How could he..? How could he love someone like him?

"Junmyeon..."
"I-"
"I have these... feelings for you too but-"
"But what?"
"You know, I can never see you. Or feel you how I want to."
"We could make it work, Kyungsoo. I'd do anything."
"How can you fall in love with a guy like me?"

Junmyeon didn't reply, he only leaned in closer. And just like the roses, his rosy lips touched his. It felt like the whole world slowed down, even for a minute. The snowflakes blew softly outside. The warmth from his lips emitted all the way to his head. Junmyeon felt as if he could soar right at that moment. He didn't want that moment to end. But it did, as Kyungsoo abruptly pulled away from the kiss. Kyungsoo's first kiss wasn't bad. It came from a seemingly prince-like man, as he described himself.

"Junmyeon."
"Hm?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."

It felt like Junmyeon's heart got ripped out. Sure, he was happy to hear that their feelings were mutual— but to know that they could never go out and see the sea together, or see paintings at the museum beside eachother pained him more than anything. He wanted to make him go back to the times where he had sight. Oh, how Kyungsoo wished that he hadn't taken his sight for granted. If he could turn back time, he would travel the entire world with Junmyeon. But he couldn't. It was impossible, and they both knew. An invisible wall will always seperate them, no matter what they did. They could imagine scenarios for hours, but it would never happen.

Junmyeon told him.

"I know. That's why I told you that we couldn't..."
"I get it. But you can never shake my feelings away from you. It's over now."
"W-wow."
"You're such a mess. I love you."

Can I be yours?
Would you be mine?

Kyungsoo's phone suddenly beeped. It hadn't done that before, in the entire time that he spent with Kyungsoo. The text read:

"Soo! It's me, Nini! I'm back in Korea, so I thought we could spend some time together. It's... been a while since we spoke. I would love to hang out again, like we used to. Miss you, penguin."
