Frisk woke up to the sound of a soft, sing-songy voice,"Wake up, my child. Breakfast is ready!" A very tired Frisk sat up in bed, pain shooting down their legs, recollecting their treacherous, yet fulfilling journey from the last few days. They stumbled out of bed, in pain from the miles they walked, being only 11. "Oh dear, you can put your legs in some nice warm water after breakfast." Toriel stated empathically. Toriel had made some eggs, bacon, and toast that tasted amazing. Curious, Frisk asked her a controversial question,"Are you and Asgore going to get back together?" Toriel's expression shifted and she drew back a bit in surprise."Honestly I do not know at this point. At first I was pretty furious at Asgore for what he did, and while it was pretty despicable, I have come to realize that it really wasn't all his fault. I had a part in this too in one way or another." Toriel's face dropped a bit in sorrow. Noticing this, Frisk sympathized. "Mom, it wasn't your fault. That may be true, but your act was justified, he did kill 6 humans, but I think you should try to resolve things..." Frisk said as they finished their food. Toriel got out of her chair and hugged Frisk for a few minutes."Thank you so much my child, you are so wise for being so young!" after Frisk rested their exhausted legs in some nice hot water for an hour or so their legs felt much better so they decided to go see the monsters. The previous day, as Frisk recalled, the monsters were not given a nice welcome and were given a small neighborhood exclusively for them and the houses were neglected, but luckily Undyne told all of the monsters that she would fix the houses since she had done so in the past (she built her own house) by giving them paint jobs, fixing damages the best she could, pretty much everything. Frisk decided to go see Sans and Papyrus first since they were relatively close by. They knocked on the door. Hearing no answer, they decided to see if they were sleeping by peeking into the window. As they started scanning what they could see through the little window in the door. "That's awful rude, kiddo" sharply stated by a deep voice that made Frisk jolt up. But then they realized who it was and turned around looking visibly frazzled. "Hey kid, I was joking around, calm down, Frisk" Sans said. "Ha ha, I'm sorry. Is Papyrus around? I wanted to see how surface life was going for you two!" "Well ya know what I've been doing. A whole lotta nothin'. Meanwhile, Paps is still going around trying to make a good impre-..." Sans trailed off and his heart dropped. He peered into the distance, as his breathing got heavy and was visibly infuriated. His blue eye started to glow a bit. "Sans, wha-" Sans interrupts, "NO." Frisk looked hurt. "I-I'm sorry. You need to go. This isn't good. You don't need to worry about it, get some rest, pal." Sans dashed down the street, the first time Frisk had seen him run. This frightened Frisk, so they instinctively ran the opposite direction that Sans did. They looked back and was horrified to see what Sans was upset about. A group of humans had come to the monster neighbourhood and attacked Papyrus when he had tried to greet him like the cinnamon roll he is. Frisk was over come with anger, fear, and sadness. Frisk started to dash towards the scene, but was stopped when they started...floating??? Apparently Sans saw their observation and levitated them until they were further into the neighbourhood. Sans let go of them in front of the house of Undyne and Alphys, so Frisk decided to tell them what they saw. They knocked on the door and after a few moments they were greeted by Alphys. Alphys looked stressed and was wearing her signature polka dotted navy blue dress that she had worn during the date back in the Underground. "Oh h-hello Frisk, it's nice to-" Alphys noticed their fearful expression. "W-what happened??" Frisk was in a mess of fear. "Please get Undyne, I need you both to hear this." Alphys' face shifted a bit."W-well Undyne is in our room... calming down." "What happened?" "Come in and I'll tell you about it." Frisk followed her into their house. It was pretty small, even for just a couple. The living room consisted of a peach-coloured loveseat with a coffee table across the small room that was about as long as Undyne. The coffee table had a small TV on it with a stack of various anime DVDs next to it. "So yesterday, Undyne proposed to me..." this made Frisk's day a bit better. "Congratulations, that's amazing!" "Ha ha, it seems that way. B-but when we went to a courthouse to g-get a marriage license like we saw in the animes, t-the humans...the humans...they...t-they..." Alphys trailed off and looked like she was about to cry. She took a deep breath. "They denied us because we're monsters...and Undyne yelled at them and the humans said some really mean things about monsters...and how we don't deserve our freedom. And then Undyne started screaming and shooting spears and one of the humans threw a stapler at her." Frisk wanted to scream. Alphys buried her head into her arms and Frisk gave her a big hug. "I'm so sorry...what did you want to say?" Alphys stammered as Frisk sighed. "Well I think some humans tried to hurt Papyrus, and Sans is gonna try to kill them...I think..." Alphys went pale and just then a WHOLE DOOR flew across the house and Frisk yelped. They looked over to see Undyne. She was wearing a big shirt and shorts and her hair was down and was very messy. Her eye looked reddish and her cheeks looked damp. She looked like she was about to explode. "HUMANS TRIED TO HURT PAPYRUS???" Undyne shouted between heavy breaths. "But Sans will take care of it!!" Frisk reassured, not wanting Undyne to worry anymore than she had to. Undyne bluntly responded with,"We need to go." "B-but Undyne..." Alphys piped up. Undyne, still in her pajamas, swooped up Alphys and ran out the door, leaving it open. Frisk visited most of the monsters and it turned out that the humans weren't accepting monsters into society. It just got worse and worse every day. Eventually it turned into a one-sided war. Humans attacked every monster they saw, once a human tried to stab Muffet, just trying to tend to her bakery. Monsters did not fight back. Luckily no monsters died, but some were seriously hurt, and some of the monsters fell into depression, both Undyne and Alphys refused to leave their house and Sans couldn't go anywhere without his magic glowing eye activated, which used up a lot of his energy. One day, Frisk was walking through town, and heard chanting coming from the humans. Frisk listened in. They heard something horrible. "IT IS SETTLED THEN, we shall KILL THE KING OF MONSTERS!!!" One said. And then the crowd of humans that was gathered lit their torches and started preparing weapons.
