School started of normally, and I was looking forward to the moment I saw Danny. My boyfriend. I love those two words. It makes me feel loved and appreciated, it makes my day. His smile made my day. I couldn't wait much longer.

I spent my classes thinking about Danny, not paying attention to class and getting teachers mad at me for the exact same reason. Now, I had a free period and lunch would follow it. I was standing in front of my locker, struggling to get it open. I couldn't think of anything besides Danny.

I am hopeless.

I finally thought of something else, but it was me being hopeless with guys. So maybe it was about Danny after all.. But it didn't matter anymore.

I was there. I had Danny. And I was playfully blinded by two hands from someone behind me.

Wait what? When did that happen?

I heard a silly voice, disguising the person behind me. It was a high and over-girly voice, so this must  be a boy. "O Jordan! I missed you. Guess who I am!"

I giggled. "Uhm.. Santa?" I joked.

The same silly voice filled my ears again, sounding even more playful, trying to talk in an over-serious tone."No you silly girl! Guess again?"

"Danny?"

The hands were taken of my eyes. The voice turned normal. "No, but you'll have to tell me about this Danny."

"TROYE!" I yelled, turning around to hug him. "I missed you, Troye."

"I missed you too, Jordan."

We stood there hugging in silence for approximately five minutes, when a loud  cough interrupted us. It was the kind of cough that was meant to be interrupting, showing disapproval at the same time. I pulled back a little, but remained in my brothers arms.

Yes, Troye is my brother.

"Danny!" I let go and ran over to Danny instead, hugging him now. Danny's eyes were focused on my brother, thinking that he was a threat. He looked at me and a smile crept upon his face. He kissed my forehead and whispered. "Do I have to be afraid of him?" I giggled. "Maybe." He looked at me playfully. I gave him a small kiss on the lips, sucking on his bottom lips so he would want more. I then pulled back from the hug. Danny wrapped his arm around my waist. We both looked at Troye, who had already made his way to us.

"Troye, this is Danny. My boyfriend." I said with a smile. Danny looked down at me with a smile. I looked up and smiled back.

"Danny, this is Troye. My brother."

Danny looked relieved. "He's your brother?" He turned to Troye. "Man, I'm sorry. I thought.."

"I get it, man. Don't worry!" He patted Danny on his shoulder and smiled.

"Now, Danny. Do I get to take my sister out for lunch?" He winked at me.

"Yeah, sure!" Danny turned to me. "See you after school?" I nodded. Danny pecked me on the lips and walked away. Before he turned around the corner, he looked back over his shoulder, sending me a warm smile. My heart melted a little.

My brother and I locked arms and walked out of school. We talked about our current lives. I told him about our parents and school, he told me about his annoying roommate and college. We stopped walking when we were in front of a small building. If you hadn't been inside, you wouldn't have known that it was a restaurant. But we knew. We always went there when we were little. Just seeing the building from outside brought back a lot of memories.

We went inside and were greeted by a nice lady. Her gray hair was pulled back in a low bun. She had a floral dress and a loving smile on. I recognized her as soon as I saw her blue-grayish eyes.

"Good afternoon!"

"Good afternoon, Geraldine!"

"Jordan? Is that really you, Jordan? You have grown so much! You are a beautiful young lady!"

"She is." Troye jumped in.

"And Troye! You look good too! I remember last time you were here, you broke a lamp! I guess your mother was too embarrassed to come back. I haven't seen you guys in years! Come and give me a hug!"

I remember that day too. Troye and I had finished our meal and went to the little play ground in the back garden. Everything went well, until we had to go home. Because we didn't want to. After a fight which lasted around three minutes, I surrendered. But Troye didn't. He wildly hit the air and then something which wasn't air. It was a lamp. My mother looked so embarrassed! I would've laughed at her face, but Troye's hand hurt and the lamp was now a mosaic of painful shatters.

Geraldine rubbed our backs as we hugged her. She released us and led is to a table in the back. She took our orders and got our drinks.

"So tell me about him." Troye said after sipping his coca cola.

"Well.. He's nice and loving."

"How long have you known him?"

"Since the first day of school. I uhm.. I kind of.. bumped into him at lunch. My food was all over his shirt and then he asked for my number."

"Still the clumsy you, I hear." He smiled and winked at me. "He seemed like a good kid." He said, more to himself than to me. "But.."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "But what?"

"But you know I'll have to get to know him better. You can't date him without my permission." He winked.

I rolled my eyes at his remark. He could be a bit overprotective, but that's what family is for. And I love him for it.

We went on chatting about other stuff and finished our meal.

"Geraldine, could you give me the bill?" My brother asked politely.

"No." Geraldine still had that loving smile on her face. My brother and I looked at each other in surprise, both of us had our eyebrows furrowed. I opened my mouth to speak, but then closed it again. Geraldine laughed at us. "Don't worry, this one's on the house."

Our eyes widened. "Are you.. serious?" I hesitantly spoke.

"Yes, of course I am!" Her tone changed into a motherly one as she continued. "Now stop complaining before I change my mind."

We left after thanking Geraldine multiple times. We drove back to school. I hugged my brother goodbye, I would see him at home.

The halls were almost empty when I walked in. I was used to the empty hallways, but something seemed off. It somehow felt, sad. It must have been nothing, because I got to class without anything weird happening.

I spent my last two classes with Sarah, whom I happily told about my brother. About him meeting Danny and lunch. I invited her over for dinner. She happily accepted.

I walked out of the classroom to find Danny talking to some guy across the hallway. A smile crept upon my face seeing him lean against the wall with his hands in his pockets. I approached him slowly. His eyes found mine halfway. He glanced to his friend, said something and walked my way. His hands got out of his pockets as he came closer.

"Hey." We said in union, so softly that only we were able to hear. It was the kind of greet, where it escaped your mouth in a relieved sigh and a smile creeps upon your face. I was looking at his lips as we greeted, then I looked back up to his eyes. He leaned closer and his eyes shot down to my lips before locking gazes with me again. There were only a few inches left between us. He closed he distance between us.

The school noise disappeared as my hands wrapped around his neck and his wrapped around my waist and he pulled me closer. The world stopped moving as our lips moved in sync.

When we finally pulled away our gazes wouldn't let each other go. The world and the noise suddenly returned. I looked down and blushed, realizing we were in public. His hand reached for mine. I looked back up. He gestured to go and so we took off.
