Chapter 1

Ryder's POV:
12 years ago:
I awoke to screeching , I hurriedly climbed out of bed and rushed down stairs with my wobbly legs to see what's going on. Pure horror was written on my face. There was pools of blood on the floor and smears of blood on the walls. I looked around frantically with my wide eyes. I carefully started dodging around the puddles of blood. I saw multiple torn up dead bodies of my pack members and rogues. I started to panic,that's when I saw my mom lying on the ground hunched over beside the wall. I started panicking even more and hurriedly ran to her with my little legs. I scanned her over,detecting every inch of her body. Her face had blood oozing from her eyebrow. That was no big deal so I went on with my search until I saw the big red stain in the middle of her shirt. I kept screaming Mom and started to shake her each time harder and louder. That's when I heard it. The ferocious growl right behind me. I froze then slowly turned around making a 180 and there the rogue was with its red beady eyes staring directly at me venomously. I let out a high pitched scream and started running as fast as my little legs could go. It let out another growl, but this time louder. That's when I knew the chase was on because I felt it's burning hot breath burning on the back of my hind legs. With shaky hands, I chucked anything and everything that was in sight of me at the creature and just kept running and running until I heard the blood curdling scream that abruptly made me stop. I didn't know who it was ,but I knew one thing for sure that I needed to find who it was and fast. I needed to make a plan and fast. I ran for the nearest room that i could find and that was my fathers conference room, I quickly slammed the door shut locking it. I heard scratching and feral growls from behind the door. I hadn't realize that I had been crying, so i cradled myself slowly rocking myself trying to calm myself. That's when I realized that I totally had forgotten about the person screeching for help. Right then I knew what to do, I crept closer to the door and creaked it open a little bit just to look outside of, then looked around sensing the rogue was no where around, I made a little break for it. I tried to yell for him/her but nothing came out.I felt a burning sensation in my throat.I put my hand on my throat and then the growl came again right then I knew the rogue was behind me. More growling came, I knew this was the end so I turnt around and looked the beast in the eyes. My eyes were wide as saucers as I tried to make my body smaller into a corner of the wall,whimpering. That's when I felt pain all throughout my body. I broke into a scream as I sobbed from the pain. My bones started breaking and more pain shot throughout me as it intensified more each time. My screams became louder and louder each time.Sweat was running down my spine as I felt hair sprouting everywhere on me. That's when the pain ended...
