~(Y/N)'s POV~
It's night right now and I should be asleep, honestly, but I don't want to. Instead, I just stay with Nya as we watch the ninjas train. Well, I'm just sitting on the edge and reading about the prophecies made about the ninjas and their relations with the Green and Purple Ninjas. When the guys finish, Nya shines the light on them.
"Good training," she compliments. "Your powers are getting stronger, but...where's Kai?"
Now that she's mentioned that, I don't think he came out when she announced to them that it's time to train. We all look around the ship, calling out his name until we heard a certain red boy shout on about fire. We look inside Sensei's room to see Kai wearing both sets of Green and Purple Ninja outfits. He's mostly wearing the green outfit with some purple here and there. We see him do all sorts of things to try and unlock his true potential, but of course, nothing works. The guys start laughing at the scene as I just cover up my mouth to hide that I'm smirking at this.
"Very nice. Perhaps if you tried the phrase 'fire dork!' Maybe it might work," Cole teases him. The way he said that makes me wanna burst out laughing.
"How long have you all been watching?" Kai takes off the mask, flustered. His voice cracks here and there from embarrassment.
"Long enough," I answer.
"The Legendary Ninja suits! That's awesome!" Jay comments.
"Well, I was, um...looking for some kind of...clue from Sensei a-and then I found these," Kai explains.
"But you know those who are foretold to face Lord Garmadon, are destined to be the Legendary Ninjas," Zane reminds him. "And only they should wear the outfit."
"Plus, you've got to learn to go at your own pace. Rushing things won't do you any good most of the time," I add.
"So Sensei would most likely be very—"
"I know, I know," Kai sighs, walking to the window. "I thought if I just tried it on it might help me see my true potential. It's not fair that you guys have unlocked your cool powers and I still haven't. Besides, Sensei's gone. We don't know when he's coming back—"
"Hello? I'm home!" Sensei announces with perfect timing.
"Sensei!" The three ninjas yell, running over to greet him and leaving Kai and I alone.
"Wow. Well would you look at that?" I say, looking at Kai with a small smirk. "What a coincidence."
Kai just gives me a look to be quiet, which I do indeed return silence but I still have a smirk as I rush out to see Sensei. He sounds happy. Maybe he has Lloyd! Or... No, he would have called out to me or something. Maybe he has a lead on getting Lloyd back easier! When I arrive to see Sensei, Nya and the others are here, too. Kai's most likely fumbling around to get his red suit back on.
"Ah, it's so good to be home," Sensei sighs in satisfaction.
"So glad you're back!" says Zane.
"Did you bring us anything?" asks Cole.
"How was your trip? Were you able to get anything to help us get back Lloyd?" I ask.
"Oh, Sensei, have you missed a lot!" Jay starts to explain what he missed, jumping onto a table. "Zane's a nindroid, Nya's the mysterious samurai, Cole's a dancer, (Y/N)'s a singer—"
"Zane is a...what?" Sensei asks in shock.
"You've been gone a while," Zane informs as I nod in agreement. "We'll catch you up later, but you should know, all of us except for Kai have discovered our true potential."
