A gentleman t'was what I wished for on that night under the stars. A curt stag to rescue my heart from its anchor of impending loneliness.
I closed my eyes and, parted my lips. Whispering a quiet dream to the stars above my eyes.
I wished him to be all my desires, strong and brave. A tall mysterious wonder, with a poetic soul, to look at the world in a trivial fashion. To look into my eyes with beautiful passion.
Who can see past the exterior, like a window to the soul.
No man who crossed thy path was anything like him. I wouldn't settle for less until i would win.
But I will remember that rainy day when I slipped on fate and landed your way. He was something like a dream, skin so soft, a smile that gleamed.
Lifted me like a feather and made a short rhyme on the weather.
"Slippery pavements is not threat, but on the ground 'tis cold and wet."
In the rain I shan't go far, but he had a fancy car. He leant me his coat draping it over my back.
I sat in the seat gazing into black. The skies cleared as the stars showed light . I but only asked to stop to admire the moon that night.
I closed eyes and wished again. "I wish that things now, will be the same in the end." He leaned forward giving my cheek a chaste kiss.
"Forgive me but that chance I could not miss."
My heart sped, at the words he said.
"I wish to see you again, and hopefully soon after that."
He took my hand and pressed his warm lips to the top. "I don't see why what we have started should stop." He smiled and looked me in the eyes. "I can't bear to say goodnight
So I shall say good morning so that when I wake It will feel as if I had been with you the whole time." His words were smooth caressing her heart. "I can't bear for us to be apart."
"If you are lonesome do not weep, think of the good morning as you fall asleep."
