My mother died today.
If you knew what to look for, then you would have seen the fire in her eyes begin to ebb away that day.
No longer vibrant or passionate about life, anything or anyone. Her drive to live, just ceased to stay.
While we could see her fire depleting, we never imagined the outcome of her depression.
She left us a vlog **shrugs, I guess it should have been a saving grace.
In it, she explains her decision, stating her 'presumed' inability to control anything but her self these days; thought we'd be happier living with him in the estates.
She robbed us of the chance to defend our claims, to let her know that we didn't need to be there with him and we needed HER to STAY!
But, she left us before we could even begin. Begin to beg, plea that we were worth living for, fighting for; definitely not worth neglecting!
In all her grief, when she decided to leave, she never realized she'd take so much more than just her life that day.
As broken as we are, we mourn the woman who was strong enough to give birth to us, but too weakened to stay with us.
But on broken wings we shall rise!
From the ashes...

A/N: this piece was inspired by all the single mothers struggling to overcome depression, financial restraints and domestic abuse (in all forms), in hopes of raising children that never have to endure what they are enduring; children who are and continue on to become happy and successful philanthropists.
