Chapter 3

Kayla's POV

I woke up sort of late the next morning.

I put on my electric purple tee shirt with neon tie dye shorts with my sliver sparkle toms.

I put my hair in a ponytail and ran downstairs to get my breakfast.

My brothers were headed out the door. They drive a bunch of their friends to school and it's not "cool" to drive your little sisters. Whatever.

My younger sister, 13, was yelling at me to hurry up. So sorry that I'm a slow eater!

When I finally finished, I grabbed my bookbag and we ran down to the bus stop. Luckily we got there with seconds to spare.

Jack and Taylor were both on the bus but I didn't talk to either of them.

I pulled out my English binder and read my essay I typed last night.

When we got to school I quickly grabbed my bag and ran off the bus.

First period came.

We sat down in English, and I sat next to Courtney.

Jack sat at the table behind me and Taylor sat behind him.

"Everyone please pass up your essays I had you type last night." Mr Hoffman, my English teacher said

I looked through my bookbag for my English binder.

Uh oh. It wasn't in there

I couldn't find my binder. I started to panic. I couldn't start off the year like this.

"Kayla?, is there a problem?" He said as he came near my desk

"Um I just can't find my binder"

"Well find it"

"Ok I will, sorry"

He went and collected everyone else's

and when he came back to my desk, I still couldn't find it.

"I uh-" I started.

I saw my paper sitting on top of his pile.

"That's my paper!" I said

"No sorry sweetie, this is Taylor's" he said holding up the paper

"No I typed that! Last night I swear!"

"Are you feeling ok, Kayla?, do you need to see the nurse?"

"No Mr. Hoffman, I'm fine but THATS MY PAPER!"

"See Kayla, it says Taylor Caniff written at the top"

"But that's my paper!, I used Times New Roman size 16"

"Kayla Kayla Kayla! Sit down before I write you up!" He was getting extremely aggravated

I sat down and I realized people were giggling but trying to hide it with their hand

I looked back and saw jack whisper something to Taylor and he said something back.

I was so mad. That was my paper. I knew I should've typed my name.

I wrote it in pencil and he must've erased it. He was sitting 2 seats behind me on the bus. I bet he saw my binder and took it.

After class I was on my way to my locker and jack pulled on my arm

I looked at him weirdly

"Sorry but I have to tell you something"

"Ok what?"

"That was your paper..."

"I knew it"

"Sorry I asked him but-"

"Jack, thanks for telling me but there's nothing I can do about it"

"Well sorry"

"Whatever. See you last period"

Lunch time came and I was still really upset.

I talked to Courtney a little but I was so mad I barely talked or even ate.

Taylor's POV

I saw Kayla get on the bus and she pulled out her English.

'Oh sh¡t I forgot to do my essay' I thought to myself

Right as the bus stopped I saw that she was in such a rush she forgot to put her binder back in her bag.

Looking around I saw that no one was looking I snatched the binder

I was gonna give it back to her but I decided that it would be better for me to get the grade

I knew the paper was gonna be good, people said she was a good student

I erased her name and wrote mine

When she was freaking out in English, I almost gave it back, but I still didn't.

Oh well, it was only one homework assignment

Jack turned around and like screamed at me because I took her work.

Jack's POV

I'm literally so mad at Taylor. The nerve of some people. And the fact that he knew just burns me up.

Kayla's POV

After school, I went home and watched a few hours of Netflix (my life)

I watched

•white chicks

•daddy day care

•gossip girl

•American horror story

One of my brothers, Kayden, came in to tell me it was time for dinner

'Woah I've been up here for hours' I thought to myself'

I quickly ate dinner and walked back upstairs to my room and checked my phone-

It was a message from Taylor:

'Hey uh I'm really sorry about earlier, wanna go to the park?'

Ok so that's chapter 3! I had so much to write sorry that it's so longggg!

But hey whatev!

I've gotta go study now
