Chapter 1 ...
Today marks my second year here at the orphanage. This day couldn't get worse. Today my only friend, Kata is getting adopted.
I can understand why Kata got adopted, Kata was smart, pretty and always positive I wish I could come with Kata but her parents didn't find me interesting.
"Kiara!" Someone knocked on my door. "Come in." I say. Kata walks in."Hey, Iam gonna leave soon so, I came to goodbye." "Oh." Theirs an momentarily awkward silence in the air."Sooo..... Here's my address and phone number, so we can stay in touch." She says. "Kay." I answer.
Ms.Damon, the lady that owns the orphanage,bursts into the room. "Kata your times up." She says. "Now say goodbye to Kiara."Bye Kiara. Make sure to write." Kata says. "Bye." I mumble. I wish I could get adopted, but deep inside I know I'll be stuck in this hell forever.
