everyone has days where they just feel like giving up, like nothing actually is important and all they do is sit and try calming themselves down. luke had these days far too often. michael would usually just sit and watch movies with him and cuddle him until he felt better. however, sometimes that wasnt enough.
'ella, lukey isnt feeling well right now, why dont we go play for a little while?' ella pouted and walked over to the blonde who was, for some strange reason for which michael had no answer, sleeping with his head resting on the kitchen counter. she pulled at his shirt and whined, wanting him to wake up. he stirred and sat up a little, wiping his teary eyes.
'uki! wakey!' luke flinched at the sudden screech, getting upset because he just wanted to sleep. michael could tell he was beyond ok, so he walked over and scooped ella up off the floor and ran into another room. she was giggling now, completely forgetting about luke.
luke was a pretty reasonable guy when it came to showing emotions. if he was sad, he would cry and let someone know what was wrong. if he was angry he would tell whomever he was angry at how he felt so he wouldnt hold a grudge. however, when he was beyond sad it was harder because he didnt really have a reason to be sad.
michael walked back into the room after successfully putting ella to sleep and saw luke sitting in front of the window, staring out at the snowy ground. michael sat down next to him, admiring the white snow himself.
'mikey, im sorry. these days arent ok and we tried medication for them but i cant fix this and im always going to be like this and i hate it so much!' luke started crying as he leaned his head on michael's shoulder. the older boy wrapped his arm around luke, rubbing his arm softly.
'shh, you're alright baby. c'mere' luke found the strength the crawl into michaels lap and lets his tears fall slowly. he held onto michaels arm for support, just wanting to be sure michael wasnt going to leave.
'uki wan' nummies?' michael turned quickly when hearing the little voice, ella standing close with a blanket dragging behind her. michael didnt want her to bother luke, he really didnt need anymore stress. but luke sat up a little and wiped his eyes, trying his hardest to muster a smile for the baby.
'no baby, i dont need nummies' he held out his arms for her, and she slowly walked into them, her eyes not leaving the tears trailing down his cheeks. she raised her hand to touch the wetness, poking his cheek.
'wet. 'uki wan' towel?' ella tilted her head in confusion when luke once again shook his head. she looked at michael with wide eyes before sitting in lukes lap and leaning her head agains t his chest. she cuddled up into his lap, her hands rested in between her head and lukes chest. luke put his hand over her back to hold her up, and he felt her slowly falling asleep.
'mikey, i really love her' michael smiled lightly and kissed lukes cheek softly before running hand through the blondes hair.
'i know baby, youre so good to her'
