I would like to state that Nintendo owns LOZ I don't.

Chapter One

I was in my room packing my bags on the first day of October. My father, the king of Hyrule, was receiving threats to destroy the Royal Family, and was sending my brother Sheik and me to stay with a Knight in Ordon Village. The Knights name was Sir Link, and father trusted him very much.

Why is it that everything has to be so chaotic! I thought to myself after I finished packing my bag. I had brought only the essentials: a brush, 3 new books, a toothbrush, toothpaste, 1 non formal dresses, a pair of leather boots, 2 night gowns,my dagger, which I strapped around my waist, 2 pairs of leggings, 3 loose shirt , and 3 pairs of pants.

"Zelda, Sheik is waiting for you. " My mother called.

"Coming. " I answered not to happily. I put on a pair of riding pants, a normal shirt, laces up a parent of boots, and walked out of the castle. I was 17, and was supposed to be looking for a suitor before my coronation. Now, instead of meeting pompous, and power thirsty Princes, I get to spend a month with some old friend of my father's. I rolled my eyes at the thought of it, shut my bedroom door, and left for the horse stables where Sheik awaited me.

"About time you got here! " Sheik said smirking.

"Yeah, Yeah.... We don't have an escort?" I asked hopefully.

"Yeah, Dad was to busy let's go-" Sheik was cut off as our mother came by the the stables.

"Keep safe you two, remember Sir Link is older than you and is in charge of you." She said looking directly at Sheik.

"Sheik, give Zelda and me a moment please. " My mom said turning her gaze to me. She had the same blonde hair and light blue eyes I have.

" You might be staying there for more than a month, so keep an open mind, take care of Sheik even, and give this letter to Sir Link. " She handed me an envelope sealed with the Hyrule Crest.

"Oh, and don't forget these. Don't show you Triforce."She handed me my leather finger less gloves.

"I love you Zelda, stay safe. "

I will mom, Bye! " And at that I strapped my bag on my black horse, stroked his brown mane, got on, and rode to catch up to Sheik.

Sheik 's white stallion was slower than mine, so I caught up to him easily. He slowed as I approached.

"So, mom says I am in charge."I said jokingly.

"Psht, your a girl, plus I am taller." He replied smiling.

"True, but I am older." I shot back.

"Did mom actually say that Zelda?"

"No, but I am the-. Did you hear that?" I asked.

" Do, You probably are just paranoid, you have seemed stressed lately. let's go." He then pulled at his horses reigns and sped up, I followed. We rode for about 2 hour before we saw the lights of the village. It was getting dark. The air was cool, leaves crunched beneath the galloping horses hooves, and my hair whipped in the wind.

"Grah!" something screamed from behind me. I turned to see some type of mutated Bokoblin running after me, but instead if a club, he carried a sword. Sheik stopped right in front of me making my horse buck me off. I fell with a gasp, my head hitting rock. My horse bolted towards the town leaving me on the ground. I heard Sheik yelling, but it sounded like I was underwater. I pushed myself to my feet, dizzy.

The world spun as I got to my feet and unsheathed my dagger. The Bokoblin was quick, but I was quicker, and wise. I easily side stepped his thrust, and jabbed my dagger into the side of its body, piercing the heart. It crumpled to the ground, dead. I turned to Sheik who was looking in the distance, yelling, and pointing at me. What is he doing? Someone was a approaching quickly on a horse, and I could just make out the silhouette of Body on the fading light. I The word was still spinning, and I was in pain, and touched my head. I felt warm liquid on my fingers. Only a little blood, it won't kill me. But that was my last thought before I crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

Link's P.O.V

I came riding up as fast as I could after I heard the scream. I dismounted my horse, Eponia, and went up the the body on the ground. A boy was kneeling next to it.

"Help her!" I nodded my head and picked up the light body. This is Prince Sheik and Princess Zelda! I thought to myself. I started to walk to the horses.

"Who are you?" the boy, Sheik, asked.

"Link, but your father may have used my title, Sir Link." I told him.

Sheik started laughing and said, "I thought you were an old man!" I laughed too, and picked up the thin, limp, and helpless princess.

I mounted my horse with the Princess, unconscious, still in my arms. Sheik mounted his horse, and we set off to my village.

After riding for about 5 minutes,  I noticed something bye The Ordon Spring

" Prince Sheik, is that the Princess horse? " A brown stallion stood by the waters edge.

"Yeah!"

I set laid Princess Zelda gently down across Eponia . Then dismounted my horse, and walked over to the Princess's. The horse looked up at me, showing blue eyes. weird I thought to myself I have never seen a horse with blue eyes. I went back to my saddle bag and pulled put a rope, tying one end of it to my saddle. I then walked back to The Princess's horse, and tide the other end of the rope to its saddle. I mounted my horse, and we started riding back to Ordon.

"Sir Link, will my sister be okay?"

"Yes," I said looking at Sheik."I will tend to her wounds when we arrive at my...ah, and we are." I said looking up at my house. It had been passed on from generation to generation. One of my ancestors, also named Link, lived here when Hyrule was invaded with Shadows. My family has lived here ever since, well I guess I have lived here ever since because my family was killed.

"You live here!" sheik said snapping me back to reality.

"Yeah, not as cool as your castle, but it works. " I said grinning. I tied up my horse, Princess Zelda's horse, and Prince Sheik's. Princes Zelda still lay on Eponia, talking in her sleep. I smiled as I heard what she was mumbling. She was saying stuff about Princess back in Hyrule, and how pathetic they were.

Sheik had already taken his things and started climbing up the ladder to my house.

"The door is unlocked, and there is pumpkin soup for you on the table."

"Thank you Sir Link. "

"Just Link will do your majesty."

"Just Sheik will do Link." I could tell he was smiling when he said, though I could not see his face. I turned untying Princess Zelda's bags, and tossing them up on the small platform by my front door. I sighed looking at the small body of. the horse.

"Now, to carry you up there." I picked her up, lightly threw her over my shoulder, and started climbing up the ladder to my house. If this stuff keeps up, it will be a long month!
