Lauren's POV-
"Mom I don't understand why we have to do this I've spent my whole life in Capri Hills why can't I just be home schooled?" I say as I drag myself into the car with my dark blue sweater dragging down my shoulder with my backpack in my other hand.
"I don't care what you want honey, mommy needs to work or you wouldn't have a roof over your head child." she replies as she drinks her coffee
I hated when she did that. Treat me like a five-year-old little girl even though I'm 16 & in highschool. In fact, my first day as a junior in a new school... Yipee.
Mom pushes me out of the car without a good luck i see the gates and I already know this is going to be bad.. New student coming 3/4th into the year.
I walk up to the gates and walk in with my head to the ground and walk straight to the office to get my new schedule.
I like the school it's really.. "Ouch." I say as i get kicked right in the shin and fall to the floor by a girl a bit taller than me.
"Oh my gosh I'm terribly sorry!" She says as she picks me and dusts my clothes as if the floor had 10,000 dust particles.
"Oh no worries, I wasn't really paying attention." I say shrugging my shoulders and looking at her beatles tank top & denim shorts.
" Do i have you in my Algebra 2 class? Fifth period?" She asked.
"Oh no. I just came here today. It's my first day."
"Oh! Well hi! I haven't introduced myself. The name is Emily & I'm one of the coolest people you'll ever meet" she said with a very friendly smile
I sorta giggle because i like her and I'm actually glad she kicked me in the shin on accident leading me up to this very point.
"Haha. Mean girls, i love that movie. I'm Lauren & I really don't know what else to say"
She chuckled and next thing i knew we were walking to the office together and got my schedule & school bell rang.
Lunch came and I walked around by myself when Emily came up to me and we hung because she didn't have much friends so we walked around campus all of lunch talking about ourselves.
-Time Skip To AfterSchool-
After this long day of meeting one person only & having boring classes it was finally over.
"How was Ms.Lauren's day?" Emily says as she comes out of nowhere with
a big smile as always.
"It's school.. It's whatever."
*phone buzz*
I look at my phone as i feel a text while Emily and I are standing by the big tree outside of the school & It's my mom
Mom: Sorry doll got caught up with something at work and Dad has to watch Jessie at dance practice be there 5ish. Love you
"Ugh!" i blurt out loud
"Everything okay over there?" Emily looks at me puzzled
"Yeah. I guess I'm not getting picked up till 5 because I'm not my parents 1st priority." I say while rolling my eyes
"If it's okay with you parents you can come over?" Emily asks
"Oh. Alright Thank you really." feeling so relived
I texted my mom and she said it was fine and I was sitting in the back of Emily's car as she talks to her mom about how we met.
We got to Emily's house and it was nice two story.
We go to her room & she was on her phone and so was I even though all my apps were on my ipod not my phone, I pretended to do something.
When all of a sudden she was playing something a boy singing and I've heard it before.
"What's that? It's familiar." i asked
"Oh. I'm on the app, Vine. It's Shawn Mendes.. He's a singer on Vine he's canadian." she answered
"Ohhh Vine i have that on my ipod but i never really use it that much. Who's Shawn?"
She showed me his page and I fell in love at first sight. Geez was that a gorgeous boy or what.
"Gosh. He's cute!" I say almost as if it felt like i had actual hearts in my eyes.
"Yeah he is but I'm into Nash Grier he's a real cutie. OH MY GOSH IDEA!!!" she said with so much excitement
"What?"
"Magcon! I have an extra ticket because my cousin got grounded and I want you to go with me what do you say? Shawn will be there with Nash, Cameron, Matthew, Hayes, Carter, Taylor, Mahogany & so much more!" She jumped on her feet and eyes brightened so big
" WHAT? Are you being for real? OF COURSE THAT SOUNDS GREAT! YES YES YES YES!" We started screaming at the top of our lungs before her little brother came in and yelled for us to shut up.
This happened to be the best first day ever!
