Dinah and Dexter

Dinah Lord twirled around in her dress, she was terribly excited that her sister Tracy was coming home. "Mama!?" Dinah called

"Yes dear," replied Mrs. Lord, "What do you need?" 

"Oh Mama I'm just so excited to see Tracy!"

"I can see that dear."

Suddenly the doorbell rang.

"Oh mama! It's Tracy! She's here!"

"Or it could be Dex-" 

"Dexter!?"

Dexter smiled, and then his eyes grew wide. "Dinah is that you!?"

"The last time I checked."

"Well little one you aren't so little anymore."

"I suppose not," she said with a grin. She remembered when she had asked Dexter to write her a song, she blushed at the memory. Dinah had said that she, "considered them engaged," and kissed him on the cheek, and ran away like a fool. 

Dexter realized her mind was in other places so he snapped her out of her thoughts, " so Dinah you excited for your party tonight?"

"Oh yes Dexter! This party will be spectacular!"

Dexter lost Dinah to her thoughts again, he put his arm around her and kissed her on the cheek. He saw her eyes widen, "I simply can't believe my little one's all grown up."

"I guess," Dinah mumbled.

"You guess? Why of course your all grown up! I mean just look at yourself Dinah!"

"What do mean just look at myself? I do that everyday!" 

"Oh but Dinah your, well your..."

"Well spit it out!"

"Stunning."

Dinah blushed furiously, looking down at the ground she whispered, "Me? Stunning? Are you sure you haven't been taking drugs?"

"No Dinah, for your information I didn't start any drugs. I really think you are beautiful."

"Dexter?"

"Yes?"

"Promise you think I'm pretty."

"Prettiest girl in town."

"Dexter?"

"Im still here Dinah.

"Can you sing that song you sung to me when I was little?"

"Of course..."
