Maybe fate could bring these two broken hearts together? Jin and Jimin would need each other maybe not now but some day and maybe just maybe they could find love. In each other?Ten minutes from Jin and Hoseok's home......
Jin sat quietly staring out the window of the black limo as it buzzed back down the streets of L.A. to his and Hoseok's home. He grew more anxious as the limo got closer to their neighborhood. Jin had not been home since that night of the accident. He had remained vigilant by Hoseok's bedside praying for a miracle when the accident happened. He held his husband's hand so tightly for 2 days and 3 nights till the doctors came with the news that there was no hope for recovery. The accident had taken Hosoek right away but his body laid in that hospital bed. Jin refused to believe it. "No brain activity." The doctor's repeated. Jin screamed at the doctors to leave the hospital room and went back to his Hoseok, grasping his cold, pale hands. The machine's beeped, his hearbeat showed up on screen but it was for naught. It was those machine's that kept him alive. Hoseok was already far away and Jin refused to let him go, refused to believe that his sunny Hoseokie wouldn't wake up and make everything okay.
Jin's friends rallied around him. Doctors conducted more tests to check for any brain activity at the insistiance of Jungkook, Hoseok and Jin's closest friend. The results came back the same, "no brain activity." It wouldn't change if they tried again in a day or a month but Hoseok's body was starting to shut down and Jin needed to make a very tough decision. With Jungkook by his side and many tears Jin signed the forms to switch off his husband's, Hoseok's ventilator.
Doctors said it could be a few minutes or a few hours before Hoseok's heartbeat would grow weaker and finally stop beating altogether. Jin fell back against Jungkook who held him up with his strong arms. "You can do this, hyung. I'm here with you." Jungkook cooed in the older one's ear. A lot of hustling and bustling went on as doctors and nursese came in and out of the room till finally it was time. The doctor turned off Hoseok's lifeline and his heartbeat immediately grew weak, slower as the life slipped from his body. Jin held tightly to his Hoseok's hands, kissed them and whispered, "I love you, my Hoseokie, my heart, my soul, my husband, please wait for me. It's you and me forever." Jin placed a soft kiss on his Hoseok's lips one last time before Hoseok flatlined. He was gone. Truly. Jin heard sniffling behind him and saw Jungkook, crying. He pulled the maknae to stand beside him. "Say goodbye, Kook-ah." Jin stepped back for a moment. Jungkook leaned into Hoseok and whispered to his ear, "I love you, my friend. I will look after, Jin. Go, fly high now." Jungkook kissed Hoseok's temple.
Jungkook stepped back and pulled Jin into his arms as the older one collasped into his arms. "I can't live without him, Kook-ah. How am I suppose to live with my Hoseok?" Jungkook through his tears, squeezed the older one's hands. "Put one foot in front of the other, hyung and breathe." Jin raised his head to look at Jungkook. Freash tears fell down his cheeks but the maknae smiled through them. "We will get through this, hyung." Jin looked back towards his husband, gone. He needed to touch him one last time. He approached his Hoseok, the machine's were switched off and all the wires were removed. Hoseok looked as if he was just sleeping but he was not. Jin touched his Hoseok's cheek, it was cold and his colour was fading to a deathly grey. His Hoseok was dead.
As the car pulled to a stop to in front of The Kim house. Hoseok had decided to take his Jinnie's namesake. Already Jin felt the tears threatening to spill from his eyes. Jungkook who was sitting next to him gripped his hand firmly. "I'm here hyung." Doing his best to comfort his hyung. The car door opened up and Jin along with Jungkook walked up the beautiful cobbled stoned walkway to the frontdoor. Jin's anxiety increased as he fished his keys out of his pocket, unlocked the door and walked inside The Kim home. Familar smells hit him immediately. Everywhere he looked, he saw Hoseok. Normally he'd be on the couch watching tv when Jin would come home. Hoseok would look up give Jin his brightest smile before fipping over the couch to give Jin a very welcoming home kiss. Jin laughed at the memory. His Hoseok was so handsy clinging to Jin wanting more kisses and jumping into his arms even as Jin walked further into the house. Sometimes it would lead to Jin dumping his husband on the couch to go start dinner and then Hoseok pouting the rest of the evening or it would lead to a heavy make out session. That session starting on the couch and heading to their bedroom where they would make for hours. Jin choked back that memory. He would never get to be with his Hoseok ever again. Hoseok was always a passionate and generous lover. He was the one to dominate in the bedroom though he had no problem letting Jin take the reins at times. Jin tried to push those thoughts away.
