Dress Code

"Mm this looks good" Mike said sarcastically while sitting down on the table with El beside Dustin who sat on the different side on the table than Max, Lucas and Will.
"It doesn't look that bad" Dustin said.
"Dustin there's literally hair on it" Max said.
"Ew it's moving" Lucas said and shook his plate. Everyone started laughing. The clock rang an it was time for fourth period. It was gym for the girls. It went by fast since the teacher just payed attention to a mean girl named Stacy and they could just play the whole lesson. After it ended the girl walked to their locker room. El and Max sat pretty near each other but not near enough for them to really talk. That doesn't really change anything since they wouldn't have talked if the where just and inch apart either. Max really wanted to be friend with El but it didn't seem like she wanted to be friends with Max.
"Well look who we have here" Stacy said moving towards El with her two sidekicks.
"isn't it the chiefs daughter" Stacy said.
"I've heard that she's dating that Wheeler kid" one of Stacy's sidekicks said.
"Oh really? Have you given him it yet? Are you just a big of a slut as your mommy?" Stacy said and used a baby voice on the last word.
"Hey! Don't call her that!" Max said and stepped in between the girls. She knew that Eleven didn't really understand what they just called her.
"Step away ginger" Rebecca, Stacy's sidekick said and pushed her out of the way.
"Let's take a little trip to the showers" Stacy said and grabbed El by the arm. Amanda, her other sidekick, took El's bag before Max could stop her. Stacy pushed El inside the shower and then threw her bag in there too so it got wet. Then they left her alone. Max ran up to her.
"El are you okay?" She asked.
"Mouth breathers" she said and then turned to look at Max. "Thank you" she said while stepping out of the shower with her bag.
"Oh god look at your clothes, they're wet. And your bag too" Max said.
"What am I going to wear?" El asked.
"Take my clothes" Max said a little unwillingly.
"Really?" El asked.
"Yeah" Max said and gave El her clothes.
"Thank you" Eleven said again. She changed into Max's clothes that was a little to big for her.
"What are you gonna wear?" El asked.
"This." Max said and looked down at her tank top and her very short training shorts.
"But you have to cover up" El said.
"With what?" Max asked.
"I'm sorry I don't have anything" El said.
"It's okay. I'll just hope I don't get too many stares." Max said.
The girls leave the locker room for once feeling like they're walking with their actual friend.
"Oh my god Max what the heck are you wearing?" Lucas said when the girls came towards them. He was clearly amazed by her body but he didn't want anyone else to look at her.
"I'm wearing her clothes because mine got...wet" El said.
"But every single guy here stares at you. You have to...show less" Lucas said. Will stood their quite because he was uncomfortable with how many eyes where starring at them. Dustin stood there starring at Max. Even Mike was trying not to stare at Max. It got easier when Eleven came up to him. He just looked at her for the whole time.
"Then what do you suggest me wearing?" Max said.
"Nothing!" Dustin says. Both Lucas and Max looks at him. "I'm mean stay like that. You don't have to put anything on"
"Yes she does" Lucas said and looked for a sweater in his locker.
"Why?" Dustin asked.
"Because you and every other guy in this school are starring at her" Lucas said.
"Yeah so?" Dustin said.
"Okay Dustin you're starting to get a little creepy." Max said.
"I don't want anyone else to stare at her body like that" Lucas said.
"Anyone else?" Max asked a little sassy. "Do you want to stare at my body?"
"Can you please stand against the locker?" Lucas said ignoring her question.
Max moved and stood towards the locker but that just made her tank top expose more.
"Better?" Max asked.
"No" Lucas said. "Put this on" he said and gave her a big gray sweater. She put it on. "Now it's much better" he said. Everyone stopped starring.
"Thank you for the sweater" Max said and kissed his cheek.
"You're a lucky guy" Dustin said. It's obvious that Dustin likes Max and everyone knows it.
"I know" Lucas said. "You can be glad we don't act like them." They all turned to look at Mike and El. They where just standing starring into each other's eyes and holding each other tight.
"We?" Max asked.
"What?" Lucas asked.
"You said 'We'" Max said.
"Yeah I just thought...we're like... you know... if you want to" He said.
"Yes. I'd love to be your girlfriend" Max said. They smiled at each other until the clock rang. Everyone went to separate classes.
