Happy New Year Guys and Merry Christmas! Have a great start to 2018!
Crystal's POV
I woke up feeling an intense pain in my stomach. I looked down and almost doubled up in pain. The bruise looked terrible. I gently placed my hand on the bruise and screamed in pain. Tears started to form and my breathing became short and ragged. Ace hurried in, worry etched on his perfectly sculpted face. He glanced at my face and ran over, trying to calm me down. I gasped as pain rocketed through my whole body making me shake. Ace left quickly and brought back with him a man with a kind face. His instant warm smile made me stay still as he applied some cream on the bruise. I winced as he grabbed my arm quickly but he quickly apologised making me smile softly. He later introduced himself as Dr. Mark. Mr King's personal doctor.
Meanwhile Ace stood there with his hands in his suits pockets, raking through his golden hair. He bit his lip in concern and kept quiet pacing around the room, his footsteps making a soft noise on the marble floor. He kept mouthing something under his breath but I couldn't hear properly enough. The doctor suddenly stood up making both of our heads shoot up in surprise.
"Will she be okay?"
"Yes, however I suggest that she has a lot of rest and sleep. The bruise is quite deep and will take 2 weeks to heal completely. She should not continue going to work nor should she leave the house."
"Is that okay with you, Crystal?"
They looked at me after their brief conversation and I nodded.
"Very well, I better be off, it was a pleasure meeting you Miss Williams."
"Likewise", I croaked.
He left taking all of his equipment and letting an awkward silence settle in between Ace and me. He moved onto the bed and stayed there for 5 minutes before breaking down.
" I'm so sorry. I really am. I didn't mean to hurt you nor did I mean to get carried away like that. I was just..."
"Just what?"
"One of my closest family members to me. Aunt Daisy was her name. She took care of me when April broke my heart. She was there for me when my parents died. She died."
I gasped. Losing a loved one was always hard even for an emotionless billionaire. I myself lost my parents to a car crash. Only my brother was alive. But he hated me. Hated me for surviving when my parents died. Hated me for not dying instead of our parents. Hated me for financially supporting myself while he would turn up blind drunk. Hated me for not giving him any money after he asked me for some.
"I am so sorry... I don't know what to say."
