Mrs Anderson pulled my hair down, curling it from the ends and placed a thin silver chain on my neck. A wolf locket hanged from it totally going with my red dress.

"My mom gave this to me. Since I don't have a real daughter and I believe you as more than my real daughter, I'm giving this to you. It's a lucky charm you know, my mom used to say that it wards off all evil vibes."

Her words brought tears to my eyes. I turned and pulled her in a warm embrace. I never thought I would get this much love even after being an orphan.

Our moment broke when Samuel rushed in, "There's a black limo waiting for you outside." He breathed.

I frown made its way to my face, "Limo...?"

"Yeah, maybe it's waiting to take you to the venue."

"But how do they know I live here?"

"They are royal family, they keep a track of where their pack members live." Samuel stated.

I nodded as I followed her downstairs to the black limo. Once I reached their, the driver came out and opened the door for me.

Samuel pulled me to look at him, "Stay safe and mind link me if in trouble. Enjoy, okay?"

I smiled and then nodded at him. Settling into the limo, I eyed the interior. The car looked stunningly inside out reminding me of how close I was to win a car of my own.

I don't know why I won a Royal dinner even if I didn't need one.

We reached the palace in fifteen minutes. The car door pulled open for me to get out.

I smiled at the driver, thanking Him and then awing at the palace. The white mansion stood tall with guard's standing at every foot.

I followed the driver to the front door where a guard asked for the invitation. I handed him the golden invitation as he gestured me to follow him.

I stood frozen looking at the beauty in front of me. The house was well lighted and looked bigger than what it looked from the outside.

Ava, my wolf, stirred in my head. She paced back and forth anxiously, making me confuse.

Ava, what's wrong?

She didn't reply. Her ears stood up and her tail moved sideways frantically

The guard cleared his throat ones he realized I wasn't following him. I whispered a sorry and followed him again.

I was so busy in admiring the mansion that I missed the fresh mint scent that air in the mansion held. The scent became stronger as the guard opened a huge door.

He stood there at the door, ushering me to get in. I peeked inside as I saw four people occupying a huge dinning table.

As I neared the table, the scent became stronger. As I looked where it came from, I was met by the most mesmerizing pair of violet eyes. The man seemed to be affected the same as he sniffed the air and looked into my eyes.

Mate!
Go to mate!

My wolf, Ava, was going crazy. She wanted me to jump straight into his arms.

"Hello! You must be Jenny Anderson." My eyes flew to the lady who appeared to be speaking to me.

Shit! I was really nervous, the scent was getting to my head. I shook the lady's hand, "Jenny Anderson. Nice to meet you, my Queen."

She chuckled, "Nice to meet you too. Congratulations for winning the Royal Dinner." She said.

I bowed towards the king, "Thanks for this opportunity, I'm glad to meet you my king."

"Nice to meet you too." King said in his deep voice as he pulled out his hand for a handshake.

"Jenny meet the Princes, my sons. Alexander, my oldest son and Nicholas, my youngest son." The queen gushed.

My eyes flew to the oldest one but the youngest one pulled my hand for a handshake.

"Nicholas, call me Nick. Nice to meet you." He said, his eyes holding amusement.

"Nice to meet you too." I replied back with a smile.

I pushed my hand up for a handshake with Alexander but he seemed to have other plans. He didn't shook my hand so I pulled my hand back to my side.

"Alexander." He said in his Deep, manly voice and I instantly wanted to drool over it.

I waited for him to speak more, but nothing came out of his mouth so I drifted my gaze to Queen. Nick looked at me and then at Alexander with amusement. Probably he knew what we were.

Mates

"C'mon Jenny settle down now, the dinner is about to be served." The Queen stated as I took a seat opposite Alexander.

The maids served the first course which was chicken soup. The queen turned to me.

"Tell us something about you."

"I'm adopted by Anderson family. My parents died before I was one year old and I'm an Omega as you people might have sensed." I told them about me.

"Hmm...so you are not Anderson by birth, what's your real name?" The queen asked, curious about my family.

"Jenny Lawrence"

"Oh! Was your mother Amanda Lawrence.?"

"Yeah...how do you know her?" I asked now curious to know what she knew of my mother.

"I hired her as a midwife when I was pregnant with Alex. She was a strong lady, and now I see you have many similarities with her." She stated, remembering my mother.

She took a sip of her soup and then turned to me again, "How did she die?"

"While giving birth to me."

"Oh.." The Queen's face held pity and shock.

"Do you have a brother or any sibling?" Nick asked me.

"Yes, but he's Mrs Anderson's son not my real brother." I replied back.

The rest of the dinner went in silence as I enjoyed the meals, I never had a chance to taste before.

Alexander didn't acknowledge me as his mate and that stink. But I knew I was an Omega, why would he want a mate like me. There were better looking girls out there.

Accepting this as my fate, I decided not to acknowledge him as my mate as well.
