Valentine: The Birth of the Pheonix

Scene 1 "Otherworldly"

2003: Manhattan, New York

A woman sits at the foot of a bed, her name was Mary Valentine. In the bed was her son Adan, Adan was a quiet boy and didn't have many friends. Then again how could he? He and his parents could never stay in one place for very long, but this is the longest they had stayed in Manhattan. Mary's husband, Ron Valentine, opens the door while Mary speaks to Adin.

Mary Valentine- (Smiles nervously) "My special little boy mommy loves you. (Walks over and kisses his forehead) We have to go on a trip and we'll be back soon. OK?"

Adan nods his head in understanding while lying in his bed.

Ron Valentine- "We'll see you soon buddy."

Adin Valentine- "Where are you going?"

Mary Valentine- "We're (Looks at Ron) Going to Houston and won't be back until Friday."

Adin Valentine- "Ok."

Ron looks at his watch then looks up at Mary.

Ron Valentine- "Hun, we have to go or we'll be late."

Mary stands up and kisses Adin's forehead again.

Mary Valentine- "Mommy has to go, I'll be back."

Mary turns and walks out of the room while Ron walks with her. Mary turns off the light and closes the door slowly. In the hall, Mary and Ron's butler, Mr. Chestnut, walks up to them. Mr. Chestnut was an old man with gray hair that was combed over to one side, he usually dressed in a tuxedo.

Mary Valentine- (Looking at Mr. Chestnut) "Please take good care of him."

Mr. Chestnut- "Of course mam."

Ron Valentine- "He can't find out what we created in the labs if he does it might be the end of us all."

Mr. Chestnut- "Understood Mr. Valentine."

Ron Valentine- (Looks at Mary) "Shall we?"

Mary and Ron begin walking down the hall while Mr. Chestnut looks at Adin's door and walks away.

Driving down the street Ron and Mary looks out the windshield in the middle of the night. A car begins to drive close behind them, Ron looks in the mirror calmly. They drive down the long dark road. While they drive a man seemingly comes from nowhere and stands right in front of their car, Ron slows the car to a stop. The man just stands there and stares blankly at them with a mask over his face. Ron honks the horn as the car behind them rams into the back end of their car and pushes them towards the man. As the inch their way to the man he disappeared into a cloud of smoke, the car doors lock as Ron and Mary panic. Mary looks in the mirrors seeing the man in the back of the car, she turns her head seeing Ron in the backseat. She looks forward to the driver seat seeing a man with orange and black striped suit with an orange and black top hat and a hazmat mask covering his mouth. He grabs her face and vanishes in a cloud of orange and black smoke, Ron sits in the back seat looking scared. The man appears next to him.

Ron Valentine- "Why are you doing this?"

Man in the striped suit- "You shouldn't have created me."

The man in the orange and black striped suit reaches him and disappears. Ron lies on the ground in a building and looks around seeing Mary lying there covered in blood. Ron crawls towards her while he cries.

Ron Valentine- (Cries) "Mary?"

The man appears in the room while holding a knife, he drops the knife and kicks it toward Ron. Ron looks at it and picks it up while standing up.

Ron Valentine- "I'm going to kill you for that."

Ron runs at the man and tries to stab at him only to go through him, the man turns around and looks at him before kicking Ron. The man stops and stands up while Ron is covered in blood and sweat.

Ron Valentine- (Looks at the man) "What's your name? (The man looks at him) I think I should know if I'm going to die."

The man walks over to him and looks down at him.

Man in the striped suit- "Adan. (Ron looks in confusion and sadness) Adan Heartbreak."

Heartbreak punches him killing him. Heartbreak chuckles while standing up. He runs at a window and jumps through it, he falls from four stories up only to disappear before hitting the ground. He enters a world that sits on fire with people panicking.

Adan Heartbreak- "You shouldn't have made another dimension."

Heartbreak laughs as people fled from him.
