chapter one

Go faster!

Tree. rock. Tree. stump.

I ran and ran because something was chasing me, i don't look back. I don't stop. Just run.

I'm panting really heavily, im so scared i wont make it out of here- my thoughts are cut off by a snap of a twig under someone's foot, it wasnt mine i didn't see a twig. Then i hear the patter of they're feet. Shit!

I run faster if that's even possible my feet hurt so much i've been running for at least twenty minutes. And the heavy footsteps slowly disappear, i sigh out of relief. Though i keep running i'm not stupid i will keep running till im out of the damn wood.

I use my hands to jump over a boulder that was in front of me in my running oath careful to bring my feet over with me and not accidently hit the boulder and trip, i keep running.

Finally! I sigh out in relief as i see a town come through my town. I smile wide continue my journey only to be brought down by someone jumping and catching my foot.

I scream as i fall to the ground.

"Let me go you sick bastard!" a yell and kick him in the chest because my legs aren't long enough to reach his sick face. I hear sick laughter from around as his grip doesn't loosen much and he grabs onto my leg near my knee pulling me towards him, by now i'm really starting to lose my shit.

I'm going to die.
He takes out his knife and cuts my leg and i scream.

"Luna wake the fuck up!"

I shot straight up panting and my eyes go straight to my sister as tears are streaming down my face, she hugs me and i hold her to me tightly. I sigh and pull away from her and look in her worried eyes.

"Im okay annie, i'm okay.." i think back to that night, if i hadn't of escaped that night i would of been dead, and i couldn't leave my sister. Not like that. It's too early, she needed me, she still needs me.

She looked at me with worried eyes that started to glass over slightly.

" it was about that night wasn't it?" i nodded even though it was more of a statement then a question.

"Yeah"

"He's in jail now though, you shouldn't still be having those dreams he's not getting out not ever."

"I know it was just a dream annie i'm okay it hasn't happened in a really long time, it just scared me that's all." she sighs and looks at me, it's been eight years i'm twenty four now, she runs her hand through my hair, "eight years annie, i really wish i could just forget it"

" i do too...i almost lost you-" her voice cracks as she looks like she remembering that night.

" shhh i'm here, i won't leave you, i didn't leave you that night  and i never will" she smiles as i remove her tears gently with the pads of my thumbs "come lay with me i don't want you worrying about me in your room alone." i leave no room for discussion because i don't want her worrying about me so i pull her down to my bed moving over a great amount so she can have room i make sure she's covered well and put a reassuring arm on her, i close my eyes and my mind starts to run wild.

I live with my sister we moved out some years back when i turned 18 and she was already 19. Yes she's older but it doesn't really seem that way, she needs protection. She's my sister, i love her. That night has me scared shitless i almost died and yet, i'm not worried about the insane guy that's not locked up i'm worried about the laughing. The laughing was everywhere, it was multiple people like i was on display. And i hated the thought. If they're out there i will find them they wont get away with planning this.

I never told anyone i thought it was planned but i do. I know it's planned, it was just way too easy for him and the laughing like they know i wasn't going to get out, but i did get out i got out for my family for my sister.

hai guys so this is my new story mystery i hope you like it and fall in love with some of the characters along the way like i did. this story is completely fiction and isn't based off of anyone or anything, other then Cheshire, Cheshire is based off of my best friend, he wanted to be in the story and i doubt he will be reading this. ill try to update every week if that sounds good to you guys? I'm new on wattpad please go easy on me!
