Iseul walked home. She was too busy worrying her fate when she reached home. Jungkook silently followed her. Madam Kang waited for Iseul, as Iseul reached the doorstep she was shoved to the ground. Her knee was bleeding.

There was tear in her eyes. But she kept on holding.

"You really test me huh?"

"I'm not doing anything. Please let me go inside." Iseul pleaded.

"Hah, keep lying! You slapped your cousin in front of her friends!" Madam Kang spitted on her face.

"I never slapped her..."

She is not lying you old grandma – Jungkook.

"Stop, I don't want to hear any of your story. Don't you dare enter my house tonight and I don't care if you freeze to death" Bamm, the door slammed right into her face. She collected her things on the floor.

She went to the park and cried. But she knew, nothing will be good if she kept crying. She decided to stop but before she could stand up, a hand grabbed hers. Again, he knew too many things happened to her. She started to tear up.

"What are you doing here?" She asked Jungkook. She wiped her tears with her sleeves.

Aww, she's so cute. Aish, I really hate her tears, she is way too fragile. Why did they do this to her? I feel the urge to protect her. I need to. Why? I don't know – Jungkook.

Jeon Jungkook hug her.

They broke off the hug. Jungkook pulled-off his jacket and put it onto Iseul's.

"Let's go to my house"

"No, I just want to wait at the park. I always being punished like this. This is nothing for me. After a while, I will go home and wait at my house" Iseul insisted.

"Iseul, I saw everything. That old woman and your cousin will not open the door for you." Jungkook let out in a disappoint tone. He knew, Iseul didn't want to trouble him.

"But Jungkook, how about your parent? They may feel weird that you..." before she could finish her words, Jungkook cut her off.

"Don't be too stubborn." Jungkook dragged her to his house.

"Jungkook, please. I'm scared. Let me go. I'm okay"

"Ugh, Han Iseul. Can you listen to me? Can you just follow me? Please." Jungkook pleaded.

"Jungkook"

"Please... can you?" Iseul nodded and Jungkook let out a big relief sigh. He held her wrist until they reached Jungkook's home. Iseul felt weird, knowing her hand in his but in completely comfortable.

Who can ignore that pleading face – Iseul

When they reached his home, his mom greeted them cheerfully.

"Omma, this is my friend Iseul, Han Iseul"

"Annyeonghaesayo, Mrs. Jeon. I'm Han Iseul"

"Ah, come in. Iseul... you both seem dirty and smelly. Go upstairs and washed up. Jungkook shows Iseul our guest room. You both take shower and we will have dinner together."

They walk upstairs, Jungkook showed a room next to him.

"Wash up, I'll wait for you. We will go down together for dinner."

"Jungkook," Iseul called for him.

"What now Iseul? Don't you dare saying you want to go home." Jungkook stared at her still waiting for her to answer his question.

"No, Jungkook. Can you lend me a cloth? I don't bring any, remember?"

"Sorry, I just thought you want to go home. I will lend you mine. But its bigger."

Iseul nodded and waited for Jungkook gave her the clothes and washed up. Jungkook knocked on Iseul's door.

"Iseul, are you done?" Iseul replied with a hum.

They both walked down the stair to dining room. Iseul went to the kitchen and help Mrs. Jeon set up the table.

"Oh, how lucky am I if I have a daughter."

"Omma, can you don't say that in front of my face. I'm still here."

Iseul and Mrs. Jeon chuckled hearing Jungkook statement.

"Omma, appa?"

"He's outstation. Now, let us eat." The dinner was not quiet and not too loud.

"Iseul, is your mom is Kang Jihyun?" Iseul nodded. Feeling missing, when someone said her mother's name. No one ever, saying that name after the accident.

"How is she? I'm not hearing any from her." Mrs. Jeon eyes glim brightly, as she was excited to hear about her long lost best friend.

"Hmm, my mom and my dad passed away in an accident. Few years ago."

"Ouh, I'm sorry but are you fine?"

"I'm okay." She replied with a heavy heart. Knowing that it was not the truth. Jungkook who looked at her, knew everything in her eyes. Turned back to his food. He felt so disappoint that Iseul kept it by herself.

"We are best friend, after we both got married to each other spouse we are apart. But I still get the update from her social media. But few years ago, she stopped. I don't know why until now."

"Omma, can we just eat? Or talk about another thing?" Jungkook tried to get his mom out rather than asking about Iseul incase she uncomfortable.

Mrs. Jeon chuckled, shook her head. Her son is a protective.

"Arasseo, protective too much huh? Iseul you can stay here whenever you want, I love being with daughter than a son who stuck up in his room." Jungkook showed unbelievable face.

"See, my mom really loves you and I think she will forget about her biological son. What if you don't follow me and sleeping outdoors in this freezing temperature." Jungkook blurted out. Everyone stopped doing what they were. Iseul widen her eyes to Jungkook.

You better take back your word – Iseul talking with her eyes.

"Okay, what is going on here? Iseul what with sleeping outdoor?" Mrs. Jeon glared at Iseul wanted to know the truth.

No one utter a word.

"Okay, since no one want to talk now, both of you sit your butt in the living room after dinner. Don't run." Both of them nodded.

Iseul clean the dish, with Jungkook's help of course.

"Iseul, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it." Iseul still did not give any respond. Jungkook freaked out.

"Iseul," Jungkook called her again. She was on her lost thought.

"What are you talking Jungkook?"

"I said I'm sorry. I didn't mean it to tell about you to my mother."

"It's okay. I think I need to let people know about it one day. Just forget about it Jungkook. Do your work. Your mom wouldn't let this slide."

A few moment later,

"Are you both done with planning to take me out of the topic?" Mrs. Jeon blurted out, startled both of them.

"We're not doing that omma." Jungkook told her.

"Okay now, both of you sit. Tell me everything Iseul"

"It was nothing omma. I just slipped off about another friend"

"Which friend of yours that sleep outside Jeon Jungkook-ssi? Namjoon? Yoongi? Jinnie? Hoseok? Jiminie? Taehyungie? I'm not asking you. I'm asking Han Iseul" at that time, when his mom called him with his full name not a trick will get his mom.

"It really nothing, Mrs. Jeon"

"Iseul-ah, call me omma. I know everything happened when there was nothing. Please tell me." Mrs. Jeon pleaded. Iseul sight, she told her about her story from A to Z. Jungkook who sitting there balled his fist. He was fuming.

"Iseul, how you tolerate with this kind of problems? Alone." Iseul just shrugged her shoulder and let out a smile. A sincere smile. Mrs. Jeon gave her a motherly hug.

"Iseul, I beg you. Can you stay with us?" Mrs. Jeon hoped that Iseul will agree.

"Omma, I'll think about it. Maybe soon but I need to settle something first."

Meanwhile, Jungkook was so disappointed with himself. He did not know why. He banged the coffee table and went upstairs. Both, Mrs. Jeon and Iseul were too stunned to utter a word.

"I think Jungkook was so angry to himself. As he listened to your story just now."

"It's okay omma. Don't worry. I'll go talk to him. Please take a rest. I'm sorry that I bring trouble to you"

"No, you are not bringing trouble or any burden to me. Now, I hope you can cool down that lava upstairs. Love you and goodnight"

"Goodnight, omma. And... Love you too."

Iseul walked upstairs and knocked on Jungkook's door.

"Jungkook, open up."

"Come in." Cold. Iseul walked up to him and sat on his bed.

"Jungkook, why are you upset? You should not bang the table. You know, it's kind of rude."

"i- just"

"What just?"

"FFS, Iseul. I just feel disappointed, with myself"

"Why?" Iseul asked again.

"Why are you asking me like this? I feel like I was in negotiation with police and Yoongi-hyung."

"I'm asking you, don't fool me."

"Fine, I feel frustrated that I can't help you."

"That is not your fault, dumb"

"How can you keep calm? Don't you feel so stuff up."

"Jungkook, I'm fine. I can coorporate with it."

"That is, it. Can you depend on me?"

"No, Jungkook. I can't, what if I will always depend on you."

"I'm fine with that."

"No, Jungkook. What if one day, you left."

"No, Iseul. I won't leave you. Trust me. Can you please?" Iseul smiled went off the bed.

"Goodnight, Jungkook." Iseul walked out, reaching the door. But Jungkook stopped her and pulled her into a hug. Iseul was startled.
