Chapter Thirty-Eight

*Liv's P.O.V*
Today was travel day. As it wasn't long till Christmas we all decided to travel to see our families over Christmas and spend the 27th as our Christmas Day together. Me and Derek were flying to England till Tuesday too see my family however we don't know how it'll go with Derek. Ages ago and I mean years ago when we were younger, Derek being about 16 & me 12ish maybe, Derek got kicked out shortly after Dad got in a car accident. I never knew why Derek got kicked out so hopefully answers will be found by bringing Derek back to see my mum. Sophie was travelling with us as she was going to see family too then Bryce & Mikey were seeing there family in America. Amelia dosnt have family down here so she's spending it with Rory and his family in America, which is nice of him to offer otherwise she'd have been alone for Christmas. It'll just be nice to spend 2 christmas' this year, 1 with family and then 1 as our own little family.

It was 6am in Friday 22nd of December and me, Derek and Sophie's flight was in 2 hours. Mikey had just got out the car at the airport and we decided to say goodbye before Soph and Derek got here. I watched as he got my case out the boot then came and stood in front of me. I looked at him and I knew this would be hard. I know it's only for a short amount of time but since I've moved here we've never spent any time apart really. He took hold of both my hands "now have a safe flight, message me every day. Have an amazing Christmas and I love you" he smiled making me smile then we kissed for a while until we heard Soph's voice. "Ok Ok lovebirds we do have a plane to catch" I laughed and pulled away."goodbye baby" I kissed him again. "Goodbye beautiful" he smiled and waved goodbye to us all before getting in the car and driving off. I went over to Soph once Mikey had left and hugged her helping her with her bags and then Derek came over too.

"Right so how about we go to check in, do all the boring stuff and then if we have time go for some food before we catch the flight home?" Derek suggested. Me and Soph looked at each other and nodded in agreement before taking the bags and walking into the airport. The first thing to do was to check our bags in and then go through security. We all had 1 case each and then a bag we were allowed to take on the plane. Once wed checked in and got our boarding passes we went through security. This took a while due to there being alot of people but after about 30-45 minutes we were out and into the main part of the airport. We began by checking which gate we needed to go to later to board the plane and then saw that we had an hour until our gate opened and an hour and 40 minutes until we were flying. There was a variety of food places to choose from such as five guys, in and out, nandos. So we all obviously voted on Nando's and went and eat in there.

-----1 Hour Later-----
*Sophie's P.O.V*
We were currently sat in gate waiting to board the plane. We should be boarding in about 20 minutes so we decided to grab a starbucks which was near the gate and sit and have a chat. "So Soph, Derek, hows the whole wedding planning going?" Liv asked smiling and then sipping her drink. I nodded at Derek signalling him to reply and so he did. "Really well thank you, we dont want to rush the wedding but we couldnt wait to plan it, so once its all planned we can then decide on the date, sort the date out then we dont have to worry about anything until closer to the time." He smiled at me, then looked back at Liv. I smiled back at him. I still couldnt believe that this was happening, I was marrying the love of my life, my bestfriend and soulmate. My bestfriend is going to be my sister in law and well everything was just amazing right now and I couldn't be happier. My family back in England love Derek but I didnt tell them I was engaged yet as I wanted to wait till Christmas as I had a plan.

"Can the flight to London Heathrow please queue to begin to board. Thank you." As we heard the speaker tell us all to queue we got to the front of the queue as we were sat near the front anyways. We stood, got our passports and boarding passes out and waited. Then a woman checked our passports, boarding passes and allowed us to board. We boarded the plane and got into our seats and Derek had booked us a first class plane so it was big, with big seats, TV's, the lot and there wasnt alot of people on the plane either. We took our seats, got comfy and got ready for take off.

*Derek's P.O.V*
I decided to buy first class rather than economy tickets this time just as a treat for the girls and also because I felt with Liv's legs it was best she got to lay down rather than sit for so long. I know her legs are better but there still sore sometimes and she still has to be careful. We all got into the bed seats on the plane and luckily we were all next to each other. We finally set off and got prepared for the long journey.

-----2 Hours Later-----
A couple of hours had passed and we were all tired. Liv was already asleep but me and Soph were both sat watching our TV's. I was watching spongebob and I looked over to see Soph watching hannah montana, typical. I smiled at her even though she wasnt looking and then turned back to my TV. I was really nervous about going to see my family with Liv, well my Mum. I know the reason I got kicked out but Liv dosnt. Mum said shed never tell Liv what happened but I hated myself that much I actually ran away. We just told people I got kicked out for Liv's sake. I cant wait to see my mum but when Liv see's me and our mum getting along she is going to be asking alot of questions so I guess I finally need to tell her the truth, I just hope that she dosnt hate me for it.

Liv's ex Sam is always out to hurt Liv. Im worried hell try it again whilst were in England and she really dosnt need it after all the shit that has happened with her lately. I though moving so far and to America was a bad idea at first as I knew Liv would grow up without me and we were and obviously still are bestfriends. But now im glad I did. I met Soph, the lads and everyone who I have here and luckily by fate I saw Liv again through Soph and even though alots happened with our group its honestly been amazing and I couldn't ask for better people in my life.

*Liv's P.O.V*
I woke up to the sound of the air hostess speaking through the speaker. "Prepare for landing, prepare for landing" I think I basically slept through all of that flight. I sat up and saw Derek and Soph awake and they smiled at me so I smiled back. I checked the time and it was currently 1pm in English time but I was still tired after the flight. I put my seatbelt back on as id taken it off to sleep and the plane started to do its landing.

Once we landed we went to collect our bags which took forever because our bags were obviously last. We went to the toilet and got a hot chocolate from Costa before finding our way outside and to the taxi section. We all decided to get in one taxi and take Sophie home first and then me and Derek would continue onto our house. We got in, and the taxi man drove off.
