MacKenzie Schaeffer was on the fast track to an athletic scholarship to a prestigious university. Then on her way to being scouted onto a major league team. She played all through high school and even in the summer for local teams. She was born to play Softball, though one day while accompanying her younger brother to his own baseball game, her focus is derailed by the coach's son and assistant. Her mind had only been set on one thing and that was practicing and getting better. Though after meeting the smooth, wisecracking, and laid back, Micah Steele, things are about to change. MacKenzie is too focused on work and Micah is all play, they naturally don't get along, though there's more to his persistence than meets the eye.

Micah Steele has always had it easy. His father is the coach of a local little league boys team. He was just looking for something to do over the summer before college started up again. Little did he know, he'd be faced with the biggest challenge of his life. She's feisty, driven, and undeniably beautiful. He can't help but taunt her, trying to break through that hard shell of her's. He just wants to prove that there's more to life than working hard 24/7. It's going to take more than just a miracle to break her down and bring her to his side of thinking. What a summer this will be.
