Selena's POV

"No wonder he's been acting weird.." I say to Diego, looking at the note Ethan left me.

We had just got home 30 minutes ago and all of Ethan's stuff was gone. I was hurt, but so was he.

I read the note over and over again.

Dear Selena,

I've gone back home to L.A. By the time you see this, I'll be gone. I'm sorry about what happened with you and Diego, but I don't understand why you went back to him. I started catching feelings for you. But I understand why you don't want me. You're in love with someone else, and that's okay. I always thought Brielle was the love of my life, but once I came to New York with you and spent a month with you.. that changed. I love you.

Ethan

"I need a blunt.." I sniffle.

I texted my dealer, asking for a couple g's so I could ease my mind.

Since my dealer lived a couple doors down from me, he brought it to me in 15 minutes tops.

"Thanks." I smile, giving him a little hug as he hands me the bag of weed and backwoods.

"No problem, sis." He winks, walking back towards his apartment.

I closed and locked the door.

I sat at the dining room table, grabbing my grinder and my blunt splitter.

After I got done rolling a blunt for Diego and I, we went out on the deck and smoked.

"I know I've been saying this a lot.. but I really am sorry for what I did to you. I didn't mean to hurt you." Diego takes a hit from his blunt, blowing the smoke out as he looked out at the city lights.

I decided on not responding to what he said. I didn't care about what anybody had to say anymore. I let the skunky smoke fill my lungs as my eyes filled with tears.

Weed was the only thing that could get my mind off all the bullshit. I was starting to get anxious, but once the high hit me I calmed down.

"Don't listen to him, Sel." Diego reassured me.

"Diego, just go back home! You've caused all this fucking drama, and I'm trying to be chill!!! You're ruining my fucking life and you broke my heart!" I stand up quickly from the couch, screaming at him.

His face turned red, with confusion and anger.

"Fine, be that way." He gets up and walks out, not even grabbing all his stuff.
