"I did, didn't I," I face palmed. Megan shook me.

"YOU LOST THE RUBY!" She screamed.

"I KNOW," I screamed.

"NEVER MIND YOU HAVE IT," She pointed to my pocket. I rolled my eyes and dug in my pocket. And sure enough, she was right. I pulled out the ring Skye gave me from my pocket. We both glanced at it quickly, and I put it back in my pocket.

"Allie you scared me," Megan slapped me in the face.

"What the heck," I kicked her in the shins. She bent down to rub her shins and I felt my face. Than literately a second later we started laughing and we have each other a hug. Eleni, Megan, and I do that quite often. We walk down the stairs and leave the house.

"Where is Elenj?" I ask.

"We'll last night Captain got out of the hospital and went home. I guess she went with him. I left the hospital shortly after you did." Megan replies. "By the way, how was your night?" She winked.

"Lovely..." I say dreamily. Snap out of it Allie! Megan laughed.

1 hour later

After a lot of giggling and catching up, Megan and I finally made it to the Castle. We walk inside to find that nobody was home.

"Thor said last night he was helping the mayor clean up the deceased in town today," I say. "But I don't know where Captain and Eleni are. Megan calls Eleni and they stayed at a hotel.

"Wow, I feel loved," Megan says.

"What?" I ask.

"You went to hang with Thor all night and Eleni went to a hotel and PAID so she didn't have to share the house with me!"

"Or, Eleni is just smart and didn't want to go back into our house that was RAIDED BY ELEVES!" I screamed. Megan shrugs. We decide to blow off the whole going to meet Eleni thing because her and Captain are going to a movie. We stop at a tester any for lunch and sit to eat.

"Why don't you wear the ring, it will make you feel special," I offer.

"And it's mine," Megan rolls her eyes.

"Here you go my dear friend," I reach into my pocket and grab it out. I take her hand and put the ring on it.

"Happy?" I ask. Megan sticks her tongue out at me.

But in an instant her eyes grew wide.

"What?"

"Allie it's a size to big," worry is all I can hear in her voice.

"Megan, maybe it stretched.....out.....?" I know it's not realistic but maybe it will satisfy her.

"It's not my ring. My ring had eight diamonds, this has six. Allie this isn't my ring Allie this isn't....." Megan puts her face in her hands and shakes her head. I take the ring, and scratch the ruby with my nail. The red starts to flake off and I am left with a colorless rock.

"I should have known," I said. "If Skye was a dark elf, why would she give me the ring?" I face palm. "Stupid stupid stupid," I bang my hand against my hand.

"She locked me in our attic, I totally didn't even know she took my ring I was so weak. That's why she locked me in there!" Megan was proud of herself. "But it must be in the elves hands." Right when Megan finished I grabbed her and started to run to the hotel, to tell Eleni. This was an emergency. I pulled Megan behind me and she couldn't keep up. She tripped and tumbled to the ground. I bent down and found she was fine except for a bloody knee.

"It just stings," Megan said.

" I don't have anything with me to clean it up," I said sadly.

"I do," and unfamiliar face said behind me. It was a boy about fifteen, he was short with dirty blonde hair. He handed me a bandaid that I gave to Megan to put on her knee.

"Thanks," she wined.

"I am Matthew, by the way." The boy said. I waved.

"Allie, and this weak one is Megan."

"Hey!" Megan snapped.

"And I am Dean!" A younger boy about 13 popped up behind Matthew.

"Hey, I didn't tell you to come our yet," Matthew said. "I am paying you to be my sidekick, you should listen to me."

"Sorry," Dean waved happily at us one last time and stepped back. Matthew rolled his eyes.

"Where were you guys in a hurry to get?" He asked.

"Long story. Has to do with the dark elves." I said. I helped Megan up.

"We fought in that battle, killed about 50 elves, the two of us," Dean said bragged. Matthew held up indicating Dean to stop talking. Dean frowned like a little kid pouting and Matthew signaled for him to step forward.

"Fine Dean," Matthew rolled his eyes. Dean smiled wide.

"We'll I killed the woman that was in love with my man and was secretly an elf," I shot back.

"Yeah, well-" Dean started but Megan didn't let him finish.

"It's not a competition," she said.

"Well, are you going to tell us what your in a hurry for?" Matthew asked.

"Nope you wouldn't understand," Megan said.

"Try us," Dean raised his brows.

"We lost the ruby ring," I said.

"You mean the ruby that can wreck a town and kill all people living in it?" Dean and Matthew asked in unison.

"Uhh, yes. How do you know," Megan asked suspicious. And it was suspicious. We were sure we were the only people in town that knew what the elves want. We thought everyone else just thought that they wanted revenge for what Thor did to their city.

"We read books," Dean said. Matthew nudged Dean and raised his brows.

"No, we are magicians, so we just know." Matthew says. Dean catches on and winks at Matthew.

"Yeah, we know how to do all kinds of magiciany stuff," Dean says.

"Uhh huh.." Megan smiles.

"Yep," The boys both say. I suddenly remember how much danger we are in.

"Okay, nice knowing you, bye!" I grab Megan.

"Wait," Matthew says.

"What now," I roll my eyes.

"Let us help you."

"No. "

"Allie..." Megan gives me the look. Right now her look is saying: they are just kids.

"Fine..." I say. "But you have to listen to us. No funny business, this is serious. Our whole town is in danger." The boys eyes grew wide like they were just told that they could have all the cans they want.

"Aye aye, captain," Matthew saluted.

"Yes mam," Dean bowed.

"Okay follow me," I order.

"Where are we going," Dean asks.

"To get our friend Eleni who you will meet soon," Megan says.

"Than what?" Matthew asks.

"Then we get the superheroes," Megan smiles.

"Than we go find the ruby?" Dean asks.

"Ding ding ding!" I say.

"You mean Thor and Captain America?" Matthews jaw drops. Deans eyes widen.

"Yes, little man. Now let's go," I order. And with that, we all start off to Eleni's hotel.
