It Started with "Hi." (One Direction)

Chapter 4

Chapter 4:

Kaitlyn’s POV

I woke up the next morning to the aroma of turkey bacon and eggs drifting through the air vents. I rose from my bed and stretched my arms, yawning. I checked my phone to see if I had missed any messages then walked downstairs to the kitchen. Grabbing my plate and a glass of orange juice, I sat down in the chair next to my sister, Ashley, and began eating. My father came and sat down with us and we all began to speak about our dreams. 

“I had the most amazing dream that I met Freddy from iCarly. And he is even hotter in person!” said Ashley as she gazed into the ceiling still thinking about dream. I rolled my eyes jokingly. She playfully slapped my arm, almost making me spill my orange juice.

“Well I had an amazing dream that I went to see The Lion King in theaters and Liam Payne from One Direction was flirting with me.” I blushed. I thought to myself about what had happened again. 

“You had a dream about going to the movies, the same movie you were at last night?” my dad questioned me. I dropped my fork onto the vintage patterned placemat. 

“Wait you mean―” I started while I ran up to my bedroom. I looked ecstatically, and then looked at my desk; a ticket, my phone charger and Liam’s jacket was sitting there. “It wasn’t a dream. It wasn’t a dream. IT WASN’T A DREAM!” I screamed while freaking out.  I walked calmly back downstairs to the kitchen, sat down, and began to eat again. Ashley and my father looked at each other confused. 

“Ding Dong! Ding Dong!” The door bell rang. I got up and answered the front door. “I have a delivery for Kaitlyn.” Said Bill the delivery man. He handed me a beautifully wrapped box and left my front porch. I thanked him as he walkedand shut the front door. I carefully opened the box to a bouquet of lilies. Lilies are my favorite flowers. I found a note hidden in the side of the box. I began to read the note aloud:

“Kaitlyn,

Meeting you last night was one of the most amazing things that have ever happened to me. I forgot to take your address out of my GPS, and I just thought I should send you flowers. They are so beautiful, just like you. Would you like to go out on a date with me? Text me and let me know! Here’s my number ___-___-____. 

-Liam.”

My heart skipped a beat. I suddenly remembered something I had forgotten  to do. “I forgot! I was supposed to call Alyssa!” I shouted, running into the kitchen putting the lilies in a vase. I placed the vase on the counter and ran up to my bedroom. I grabbed my cell phone and dialed Alyssa’s number. 

Within the second ring Alyssa answered with “Hey! How was last night? Sorry I couldn’t make it!”

 “It was amazing! And you will never guess who I met!” I excitedly replied. 

Alyssa sat thinking for a minute. “Who? I give up!” She sighed. 

“Liam Payne!” I screamed. We both screamed into the phone jumping up and down fangirling. 

“How did this happen!” She asked me anxiously. 

I explained mostly everything that happened last night. Alyssa had her mother drive her over to my house so I could add a lot more detail into what actually happened. When she arrived, she came straight to my room to find out the whole story. I explained everything that happened and she was crying in joy for me. 

“You need to get me hooked up with Harry!” she happily said. I laughed and dialed Liam’s number.

“Hello?” Liam answered. His voice even made me melt over the phone.

 “Hey. It’s Kaitlyn. I’d love to go on that date with you.” I replied trying to return back to Earth.

I heard a few voices in the background on Liam’s line. “Liam, damn! Get that girl! Wait, she said yes? WOOO HOOOO!” Harry shouted in the background.

 “Be quiet! You’re embarrassing me!” Liam whispered. Alyssa and I laughed. 

“So may I pick you up tomorrow morning? Let’s say around 8 AM? I want to do something special. Just don’t eat before we go.” Liam instructed, “Well, I have to go now, I have to go to a meeting with the boys but I’ll see you at 8?”

 “Yes, I’ll see you at 8 AM sharp. Goodbye.” I said, with a smile on my face from ear to ear.

I walked Alyssa outside to her mother’s car and waved goodbye as she drove away. Once she got home she called me on Skype and helped me pick out my outfit. I grabbed a hanger that was holding a floral, lavender sundress with a pair of sandals. It looked so cute! We ended our call and I drifted off to sleep.
