christmas blues
she started putting up christmas lights on december 1,
but he didn't like christmas.
he laughed at her grinch sweater,
so she bought a snowman one for him.
"i don't like christmas," he said
so she took him caroling.
her excitement was unbearable,
but he went with it, for her.
"i don't like christmas," he said again
so they watched christmas movies the whole night
and she was tired, but still stayed up for him.
he wore the christmas sweater she bought.
"christmas is okay." he said, and she wasn't satisfied yet
they went gift shopping for a small orphanage down the road, and he saw
that maybe christmas wasn't that bad after all.
he helped her decorate the tree,
and put up all the lights
with their families, they were happy
to be together on christmas night
